Re: Throttle cable question for the veterans
The local guy I've been talking to got me in the habit of saying "OE" for that one and "original" for the actuall oem carb, accidentally carried over into here.

Re: Throttle cable question for the veterans
Sorry left a few letters out, it's the OEMSTD carb, new but not original, only one I could find online. Tried rebuilding my original with extra parts and just didn't fly!

Re: Throttle cable question for the veterans

Carb is a new OE I had to purchase because mine had more wrong than right, have completely cleaned everything inside and out including emulsificat...

Re: Post big bore tuning
Yea I didn't know what I was getting into until I just searched around for crankshafts, looks like a pain. Have to split the case and a lot of other stuff I'm not familiar with. Can get a few used replacements online, flea bay has a few, just not sure I want to keep investing in this thing at the mo...

Re: Post big bore tuning
Think I'm going to have to hunt down another!
Rebuilt my old carb and still not able to get a leaner condition, can't maintain idle w/o throttle. throwing in the towel for tonight and I'll get back at it after work tomorrow.

Well I think I figured out my horrible noise.... Drive gear is shearing from the drive pulley.... Metal shavings everywhere and a nice wiggle in the pulley made worse by higher rpm. Sheesh!
