Re: 160 PSI in my 44mm bbk

Re: 160 PSI in my 44mm bbk
I'm not at the high. I'm 11 PSI less. As wheelman said it will not blow today or tomorrow but when you push it will pop. OK so it dose. Big deal... Who has a BBK? What is your compression? What main Jet? What airr filter? What is your elevation? What octane? What spark plug do you run? How many mile...

Re: 160 PSI in my 44mm bbk
Everyone can then save this. If a SA50 max is 171PSI at max then it is IN specification. This subject started asking about PSI, BEAR ran a Pro engine in a boat, that had multiple cylinder's creating huge heat numbers. I have single cylinder air-cooler 2-cycle. I'm going to get a Interfered temperatu...

Re: 160 PSI in my 44mm bbk
I will be then head caution. But will NEVER regret a $100 top end! I want my Spree to rip not seize. However everything I have seen so far is not a consequence of what i'm running. What dose TAZ have to say? I'm running his kit per his instructions.

Re: 160 PSI in my 44mm bbk
WOW ok tell me what you had please!!! Go into detail, I am sure I'm not the only one. As far as I can tell that was caused by Pre-ignition.

Re: 160 PSI in my 44mm bbk
This is a 2 cycle engine. A hole in my piston would only occur it I had Pre-ignition. I am only worried about detonation. Which is caused by octane and compression to name a few. Who can tell me or show me proof that my rings will burn up which is a cause of detonation not Pre-ignition. Pre-ignition...

Re: 160 PSI in my 44mm bbk
I am going to stay at 160 PSI. My instructor at Motorcycle Mechanic Institute (MMI) said anything over 200 PSI would be to much. I have been doing some heat cycles and will keep this forum posted on how it turns out.

I realize that is high. What is normal for a 44mm? Should I add one head gasket?
