Just swap in an AF16

Here's on of my projects I'm finishing up. AF16 powered Yamaha Razz. Also modified front Elite wheel to match. I'd really like to find a stock exhaust.

Throw that cheap carb in the trash and diagnose whats wrong with the original. I'm guessing you read the Wiki?

I LOVE those new Honda Cubs. Hopefully in the next few years I'll get one before they stop making them again. I just picked up this leftover 2018 Kawi Z125 Pro. I’m finishing the same swap and just modified the arms and hub to run the Elite front wheel. Matching wheels and bigger brakes.

My last elite did 60mph with SR de-restriction, polini variator (tuned), 9:1 gears, and stock carb, airbox, exhaust.

What scooter do you have? Elite with AF16? I would suggest doing one thing at a time. Start with basic maintenance, carb clean, trans tuning. Then start replacing parts one at a time. Otherwise you don’t know what’s working or hindering. Don’t bother with a cdi. It won’t be as reliable as stock and ...

If the brakes are still a bit spongy with the new pads, get yourself a new pair of brake cables. They stretch over time. If your cables are 30+ years old you’ll definitely see a different in braking performance.

Yeah the motor has 9k on it and a lot of carbon in the exhaust port but good compression and bearings.

The problem I’m having is lots of blue smoke and no power. I’m hoping the problem is my stock exhaust is plugged up. The exhaust is really heavy.

Ok. Thanks for the response. I ordered one last night cause I think my stock exhaust is plugged. Hoping it’s an improvement.
