Re: Picked Up A 2001 Elite Today!
Its been awhile since I've been on here. I've been commuting on the Elite all summer but its hard to put any miles on when you live 1 mile from work. I now have about 1200 miles on the Malossi cast kit and it hasn't skipped a beat. I'm itching to get a Polini Corsa but feel ashamed to pull this one....

Crazy temps! I let off on my Malossi cast kit at 400 degrees. But now that its broken in (1200 miles) I rarely ever see those temps. I can blast for miles and not go over 350.

Re: Blue smoke
My best guess would be that your oil pump seeps a bit of oil as it sits. When you start it cold, it has to burn all that oil and get it out of the system. Its not really a bad thing as long as the bike is running well and has a good spark plug color. My bike has a bit of a seep in the pump. The firs...

Those double ended wrist pin clips are awesome, they go on so easy with a needle nose pliers. I always keep a bunch of extras. You can order sheets of gasket material from treats as well. Just cut yourself.

Re: Polini 19mm won't start on my spree
Fuel mix correct? $100 is cheap for a kit, buy another one and try it again. I had problems with a phbg 19mm last month. Sometimes when changing a jet it would suddenly get no fuel, I'd pull it apart, put it back together and it would work fine. Make sure the float is set level, thats a big one! It ...

Wow! 60 with stock exhaust and carb? Air-box too?? Either the Malossi cast is that much stronger than the Contesta or Flash 9 and I have some work to do. 55 on my setup is the best I've seen.
Yep, stock de-restricted airbox. Variation might be your limiting factor.

Re: MALOSSI 72CC SPORT CAST questions
My cast is running with stock exhaust and carb. I top out right around 60 with 9:1 gears. It does get hot at long wide open runs (like a few miles). Think Its just starving cause of the small carb. Got 1000 miles on it without a single hiccup. Super happy with it.

Yeah, I sold the PG last year and upgraded to a Simonini. The pipe is amazing. When I parted out my spree I put the blue wheels on the elite. The Stock white wheels are getting new powdercoat this week then will go back on. https://www.treatland.tv/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=honda-dio-simonini-p...

Thanks! Yeah the panels are mint. Its unbelievable for a 15 year old unit. Previous owner bought it new and was meticulous about it.

First week of the year riding for me! Its still a bit cold but yesterday was nice. Went riding with a group of guys and had a blast. On a long stretch of road everybody was tucked down blasting and I got on the throttle and passed like they were standing still. Someone had a brand new Grom and I eve...

Honda Hobbit forks should be the same. You can get EBR's that have a mount for disc.
