Re: 1984 Spree not running

Buy one of these or get one at your local auto parts store:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-5546-6-HELI ... SwZkJUTaOW

Easy to use and your carb will be good as new.. then use your original carb bolts.

Re: SA50 Front Shocks

Didn't work out well. While the 2001 SA50 front shocks were in stock when I ordered two of them at the start of the week, only one came in today, and the number now shows as obsolete at the Honda dealers screen.. I sent back the single one they sent, so now I don't have a matching set of good front ...

Re: 10?

Thanks wheelman. I'll get it starting and running right, put on good used reflectors, a mirror, and kickstart rubber, a new air filter, and then see where to go with it.. I think finding a good rear body will be tough though. The rear of the body is nice with nice graphics and will clean up well. If...

Re: 10?

Dagnabbit, the medicine I got at the hospital clearly hasn't helped with scooter disease.. now solidly at 10. I woke up this morning to find this sad $100 little 1989 Elite E on craigslist for $100 with title in Sarasota.. just got home with it, but haven't had time to check it out. I thought the bo...

Re: 1984 gryo yard find

For me, the whole deal is the availability of the title. Not a big deal to some buyers depending on the state they live in, but to me the title is the difference between a $100 parts Gyro and a $500 Gyro with the title in your name.

Re: 1995 Honda Elite SA50P Derestriction -I can't find info

I saw another post today about an SA50 with big bore questions and the topic started discussing gears. That made me wonder that if you derestrict a SA50P with the 3 steps discussed here, don't you need to change gears to make use of the new power? If so, what gears are recommended for a stock bore, ...

Re: SA50 Front Shocks

The question became academic when I went to Honda this morning, and ran the numbers.. while both parts show as available, the earlier model is back-ordered at Honda, so I went with the newer ones.. I should know by the end of the week how they work out..

Re: SA50 Front Shocks

Wheelman.. I appreciate your reply, and there is still one set of those left from that vendor on eBay. I do want to keep this scooter all Honda if possible.

Does anyone know what the difference is between the front shocks on a 2001 SA50 and a 1993 SA50, and will 2001 front shocks fit a 1993?

Re: 10?

EastCoastCB.. I hear you. I just got out of the hospital.. they couldn't do much for scooter disease.. am back to 9 now as I expected. 10 is a very hard number to achieve and maintain..

SA50 Front Shocks

I have a 1993 SA50 that has a really bad front drop when you apply the front brake, and think I should replace both front shocks. Babbits shows the following parts still available from Honda: 1993 SA50 Front Shocks: 51400-GN2-671ZE FORK ASSY., FR. *NH147M* (BARENTS [+] $61.35 2001 SA50 Front Shocks:...

Re: 10?

Motormike..you are right about the basket order.. Had not thought of that, but now that you mention it, I'd better make sure that the manufacturing line can keep up.. Will check with Beijing later today. My focus is now changing towards getting two entries ready for True Grits in October.. I might b...

10?

When I got to 7, I gave away the Yellow Elite S and fell back to 6, then got three more Honda scoots, and so made it up to 9, one ahead of 1man8scoots. Then this morning, I picked up this Black Elite S and spent the day cleaning it up and going through it. At the end of the day all seemed right with...
