Re: oil pump plug oil tank
My petcock (and most I've seen) are vacuum operated, no need to turn it off. Some of my friends put oil first and then gas, but I don't really get enough pressure from the pump to feel safe doing that. I put gas, add oil, then rock my bike back and forth for about 2 minutes. After a while, you won't...

Re: oil pump plug oil tank
My oil light is always on, you could probably wire it up (either ground it out or connect the wires probably) to turn off.
As far as premixing, I just carry oil. When I put gas, I just watch how much I put in, and add accordingly. 0.5gallons = 2 oz, 0.75gal = 3 oz.

Newbies post the same questions. Oldbies have already posted the same answer 100 times over the past 2 years. Newbies don't want to search for it. Oldbies post 1 relevant sentence, then say search for the rest because it is already out there. Newbies don't want to sift through all that information. ...

Re: 82cc Big Bore Tuning Difficulties
28 is usually overkill, but seeing as 95% of modified elites in hawaii use an OKO 28mm carb, it really isn't the limiting factor. That said, I have a 24mm carb on my 50mm bore. I've never liked v8 pipes for top speed, once you change out for the PG long, I'd start looking at some trans tuning. stock...

Re: 87 SE50 motor swap?
The mounts are different but it works just fine, provided you add those 2 tiny sleeves. AF05 is worthless IMO, why make life hard when you don't have to? If you get serious on modding, once you max out the AF05 you'd rip it out for a dio anyway.

Re: Sym dd w/ hona dio engine i need help please!
If you don't have a variator yet, then yes the Keli will make your bike faster.
Gear ratios are pretty simple, higher number = lower speed. 12:1 = stock and slow (well 11:1 is stock for you), 6.5:1 = high speed. Lots of ratios in the middle there, your choice on which one.

Re: 87 SE50 motor swap?
Use the 87 motor mount, pull 2 metal dowels from the kicker case cover to sleeve the motor mount bolt. After that, just wire it up (plugs don't match, but it's color coded).

Re: Sym dd w/ hona dio engine i need help please!
Sym stock primaries: 34x12 Sym stock secondaries:47x12 Stock sym gear ratio is 11:1, if you buy that gear kit (42x16) you will end up at 7.4:1. Tall, but doable if you are a lightweight rider or live in a flat area with not many hills. That being said, I weigh ~200lbs. and run 6.9:1 gears, so it's a...

A few of my friends have it... It works, it looks cool, it stops better, and you get nice rims. Is it worth the price? That's up to you.
