Re: new to forum
Fuel will ONLY flow through the line when engine is cranking or running. It takes vacuum from the engine in order for the petcock to open and allow flow.

Re: new to forum
I would begin with a very close inspection of the carburetor internally. Cleaning and verifying all the jets and passages as open and flowing. Checking the jet sizes and recording what i find. Then the gas tank and petcock, checking for rust and debris. Clean and de-rust if needed, and then install...

Re: 1988 Honda Elite E Vacuum/Fuel Line Question
Take a photo of the lines as they are now.
Remove the lines to be replaced.
Take the lines to the auto parts store, hardware store, or moto store and match them up with new lines.

Re: Honda Elite 80 Engine swap challenges
I can confirm that the engine serial number is AFTER the year 2000,
but could not determine exact year.
Regarding the carburetor, I should think that swapping the old carb and intake to the newer engine
would be a good option to solve your issues with both air leaks and cable connection.

Re: Gyro Oil Pump Repair
If anyone would know the inner workings of those it would be Dave (mousewheels). I can PM you his number if you want. Yeah, go ahead and share that. I'm not only trying to help a guy in NY with issue, but it looks like my own Gyro has developed similar problem. I've looked at a thread that mousewhe...

When oil drains down past the check-ball in the oil pump, what is the proper way to remedy the problem, considering you want to retain the pump in use ?

Re: Engine and gear oil Elite CH125 1984
Yes, your 15w40 will be okay for the gearbox. Most Honda scooters specify 10w40. Do not use 80/90w.

Re: Spree Speed Pulley?
I don't like to discourage anyone from trying to make improvements in their bike's performance....but, Meatball speaks truth about Spree. Too many years I've spent on this forum having witnessed Spree owners trying to make those mods, and the outcome CAN be positive, but it takes a lot of money and...

Re: 1997 Honda Elite 50, float height
I think I would leave it as is, and then once you've got it running, make sure it doesn't starve at full throttle on a long run.
