Re: '92 Dio SR Build

No new updates, just awaiting parts.

Question, does anyone have a diy regarding the gear replacement procedure? The more photos the better.

Thanks.

Hey buddy, Yeah it did fix 80%, but sti had sputters at wot. Im in the process of rebuilding to a 90cc atm. you mean 82cc. Actually 81.2cc  :( Is the flywheel the thing that sits behind the fan but over the stator? If so i have removed mine but was planning on just plopping it back on?

Re: '92 Dio SR Build

Question, what is the best way to drain the tank? I will be running premix with an oil plug and the fuel in the tank has probably been in there for a year.

Re: '92 Dio SR Build

Yeah i need to remove the gears this week and get the new ones pressed in. Little update but an important one, since the dio has most likely sat outside for its entire life its badly faded. After some research i ordered a product called Wipe New and here is the result. http://i64.tinypic.com/zivmfk....

Re: '92 Dio SR Build

I am not young at 28 and although i have worked on many cars this is my first scooter. Its exciting but also overwhelming because i don't want to mess it up.

Now i have 9 to 1 gears coming but am unsure if i should use them since i am worried the bike will become slower than it could be, opinions?

Re: '92 Dio SR Build

Try hitting the clutch with a little sandpaper. The belt looks good, Im not 100% sure but I would say the old one has been worn alot. Make sure when putting your variator back on not to pintch the spilines. Pull the belt tight jn the clutch down to the center to give slack and hand tight3n the vari...

Re: '92 Dio SR Build

Ok so i managed to remove the variator and clutch with an impact drill. http://i68.tinypic.com/2qk437n.jpg The clutch seems to be glazed as its very smooth, is this normal or has the 20+ years been unkind to the material? http://i64.tinypic.com/sq6vxi.jpg Lastly the belt i ordered seems to be wrong,...
