You don't need a 700lb. motor in a car that barely weighs twice that.
And now back to the moped pictures... I think I found a small exhaust leak:

Ol' Bear would probably reserve the "Stallion" moniker for playing my little pony with a mustang.
The 57 is nice, but I like seeing my old work van (even if it is a POS ford)

Re: 2001 elite exhaust??
ok, sounds good. i just read on some one elses post that they had a 145/50 and sounded good, but it will prob. work better as you said, small increments. I have a new pipe on its way will that also affect the jetting? Yeah you'll definitely run bigger jets than me (Hawaii is very humid so we use sm...

Re: 2001 elite exhaust??
You want to go from 112 to 145? That is a MASSIVE jump, my bike will barely run with a 120.
50mm bore, 24mm carb, stock pipe, Hawaiian weather, and I run 105/45 jets.
Always make small changes, I'd start with the pilot, but not all the way from 40 to 50, try something in between.

Re: Any Sugestions on the Malossi 72cc kit?
Since arrows are NLA (as far I know), those require the hookups and the $$$ (like sanjuro )
Scorpions on the other hand and currently produced and fairly easy to find all over Hawaii... it is a bit more expensive than your average pg long though

If they make it better, so be it. This whole board is full of people buying italian/taiwanese parts for their japanese mopeds anyway. It must be fun up on that high horse of yours.Bear45-70 wrote:You would rather support some other country than your own.

At what point did I, or anyone, b**** about the economy? I wouldn't put my hard earned money into a piece of crap vehicle, no matter who makes it nor the fiscal situation of the country.Bear45-70 wrote: Yeah, there you go. Don't buy American then b**** about the economy being on its *.

Ford got at least 1 thing right... They circled the problem and highlighted it in blue! :P I'm not much for any american cars, but it would be a bow tie if I had one. You probably like Suzuki too. OMG!!!! The Samurai and the Sidekick are two of the best offroad vehicles for the price! Old Geo Track...

1500 spring and 4g weights? I'd be surprised if that thing passes 30
Some spring tuning, and a decent builder, I'd say you can get past 70... 78 is pushing it though. Although not everyone can achieve that, and it definitely won't happen with gear oil in the tranny Butter crisco maybe...

Lol, basics first! The plug/coil should have been the 2nd thing to check when it doesn't start (1st would be the gas tank )spree-rider wrote:I figured out what was wrong. /: the ignition came unplugged

Re: info on tools for primary gears and af34 engine??? thank
This may be wrong because it's a different motor, but if it's the same as an AF16, the clutch shaft should pop out of the cover with it's bearing. Tap that off with a hammer and swap the bearing to your new shaft. But: If it already has 8:1 gears, hasn't someone already swapped the secondaries? If y...
