Re: Post big bore tuning+all my Newb questions

As much as I wanted to keep the bbk the thing just wouldnt run over 30 without wanting to soft sieze. I tried jets ranging from 65-90 with 80-85 only being optimal. Air box though for future adventurist was conclusive at 2 1/2 inch holes with an 85. Honestly though after riding one with a swap done ...

Re: Low dollar to high dollar budget estimates to use a 48mm

Yep, bbk and Taz gears currently and honestly don't even want to ride it as it is! I have to many hills in my area and basically have to get off and walk it. Bbk makes up for a little bit not enough to hold my interest.

He didn't say it, but he has every right to think it hahaha. I'm swapping an elite in just like he suggested! Rode his and killed my BBK dreams!

Re: Post big bore tuning+all my Newb questions

Spent a successful Sunday at meatballs place swapping cases and shooting the breeze. Stand up guy right there, learned a lot while sponging as much as I could. Stock Spree with Taz gears is rediculous! My sons big wheel has more go lol. Swapped the bbk into it when I got home and made a world of dif...

Re: Post big bore tuning+all my Newb questions

Good catch Mr Clark, shame on me for under thinking something a Proffesional plumber and former hvac technician should know without thought! A single one inch hole produce a different volume than two 1/2 inch holes so I shouldn't have been confused about different results. I over think and under per...

Re: Post big bore tuning+all my Newb questions

I have a cht and tach on the list of needs to acquire in the future, cht being first and most needed, budget constraints kicked into high gear last night though after I had to pay over $200 to register it at the DOL! Those crooks lol! As for the posterity sake saying 1 one inch hole I didn't want to...

Re: Post big bore tuning+all my Newb questions

Ok so tinker time, warmed up and ran around the hood for 20 minutes. first I started playing with the mixture screw, 1/8 turn out, reset idle and would run down the block and back. Ended up noticing the powerband at around 3/4 turns out. Though now it's between 20-25mph, cool for that oh crap moment...

Re: Post big bore tuning+all my Newb questions

Working in a boiler room so can't load YouTube. Hole configuration is all 3 open currently, main jet is 85. Big problem is the power band was there the day before, boy was it there, only change made was pilot jet was finally cleared completely and my bike will now idle without throttle. This happene...

Re: Post big bore tuning

I'm just going to keep adding to this thread, I feel like I started to many already! So last night had a few minutes so I decided to take her for a spin, started first starter engagement, reved up during warm up, idled down, hopped on, took of great and cleanly accelerated from start to 35. Problem ...

Re: Post big bore tuning

I used an old jetboil system I retired a few years ago, just big enough to drop the carb in, covered with dish soap solution first and simmered for 5 minutes, blew it out then did an oxyclean solution for 5. Rinsed with carb cleaner then brake cleaner. Seemed to really open stuff up.
