I found a deal on an Elite 150 motor. Thinking about swapping into a Spree. Has anyone done it or is it pretty simple?

Re: SE50 gears...where to buy? Which ones?
Anyone ever try a Spree airbox on an SE50? I tried it today and it gets totally choked out from not enough airflow. I already had six 1/2" holes in my cover and they were taped shut so I began opening them up one at a time and doing test runs. Opening up 1,2 or 3 holes and it just bogs when I g...

Re: SE50 gears...where to buy? Which ones?
you still haven't Swapped out any of your transmission yet, huh? Do a variator/belt/clutch! Nah, man. My main focus after the SE50P swap was to de-restrict. That's done and now looking at upgrades. Trying to find the best combo that would give the best results. Im keeping the stock bore since the c...

Re: SE50 gears...where to buy? Which ones?
Well, I certainly wont be doing extensive machine work anytime soon and 7.83 ratio is not doable with my stock bore. The Malossi gears that G9 spoke of...Please, tell me more. Where to buy, etc...pressing gears onto shafts is not a problem. I have access to a press.

SE50 gears...where to buy? Which ones?
Seems like I cant find gears for an SE50. Ive got the un-restricted gear in already by swapping gear "A" on the chart (link below) to a 13 tooth bringing it to 10.1:1. That gave me basically 1mph gain over the 12 tooth. I read the stock bore can handle 9:1 but cant find anything available ...

Re: Massive Honda Spree Restoring Project - Check it out!
Somewhere on every Spree you restore, you should put a signature or stamp/marking of some kind to identify it was a jerz job. Like an artist signs a painting. 30yrs from now you'll randomly see a Spree somewhere and see your name on a frame tube and know it was one of yours. Number them too!

Re: Failing starter?
You definitely don't want to whack the starter like many of us have done with an old car. That prehistoric trick is only helpful if your starter motor is going bad and you need to get to the parts store since it only works a handful of times before it croaks completely. Your issue is between the ben...

Re: Idling high, fouling spark plugs
You should get in touch with meloshameless or O'Verse and bring your scoot to one of them on a weekend. I did that a few months back and mousewheels came by for a few hours and taught me a ton. Im sure you would learn a lot from the experience. Remember that old saying: GIVE a man a fish and he'll e...

Where can I get a 300mm-ish shock for Spree? OR Adapter??
After the SE50 swap into the ol' Spree, she sits too low. Im currently using the longer Elite shock and I also moved the mount point up the frame between the oil reservoir and rectifier. Looking for a shock that's either an inch longer (300mm) or even some sort of extension bracket. Any ideas?

Im hoping to see fuel curves and air intake measurements at different rpms. Just doing a dyno run for horsepower and temp is kinda pointless.

Re: questions about SE50 Spree swap
Green is just a ground. Jump that onto any other "green only" wire and youll be fine. The spree bullet connections had a spot where two green wires plug into one. That's why you now have an extra one. Look at the old Spree connectors and youll see a "Y" type bullet where it used ...
