Can the variator and clutch just be altered to keep a consistent ratio. Maybe the rear clutch could be tac welded, and the variator could be shimmed into a fixed position?

I road a 2000 ZX6R for a few years and love that thing. Picked up a 2005 Ninja 250 last year and could not handle the feel of the bike, sold it to my brother. Those new bikes sure look sharp. Especially the Ninjas and Hondas. I fear I might get the 250 CBR when I see one for a price I can flip. Welc...
