Re: For sale: Spree Floor Mats, Petcock Covers, Battery Covers

I have a few petcock covers available. I also have floormats, but there has been slight shrinkage (about 1/8th inch) that i can offer. Hit me up on PM. Brad So Brad, I've kinda been stalking you, checked out some of your comedy and commercials. What ya been up to these days man? I noticed your part...

Re: 1984 Nifty 50 AF06 Starter Motor Dead

Most items in the kit will fit. But really, a good rebuild will come down to a good cleaning and re-greasing of all old components along with new bushings and whatever else might fit that can be replaced as new. They might be sealed starters, but they can still get gunk and have the grease dry up in...

You can use a Suzuki LT80 starter rebuild kit and just rebuild it.

Re: Painting rims/kicker

Nope, no runs at all. I've also spilt gas on it and have had no troubles, just wipes away. You bake that enamel on and it creates a very hard protective barrier. Doesn't chip, scratch, run, bleed, etc. You almost HAVE TO powder coat parts like this because they are so low to the ground and so prone ...

Re: Painting rims/kicker

I powder coated mine. But then, I'm a professional. Can't really speak too much of rattle can paint jobs. But I do know I'd never used Rustoleum.

Re: Milling Spree Head

86-87' Spree reeds and SB50 reeds are the same thing, so absolutely interchangeable. The Spree reeds in this picture are from an 84 or 85 model year. http://hondaspree.net/wiki/images/0/02/SB50_IntakeMod_1.jpg Also, noiseguy sells reeds but not the cages, you won't want to use the old cage if what y...

Re: Milling Spree Head

What the milling and porting will give you, is a more robust bike that comes up to full speed quicker, you'll pick up 2 maybe 3 mph if your lucky TBH. But I believe the speed in-which it does this will probably be more worth the effort than what the top speed is. Main thing is make sure it has a cle...

Re: Milling Spree Head

Honestly, the 13T gear with no speed pulley or higher gears is probably the better choice. Sure the higher top speed is nice and the loss of low end isn't as horrible as some try to make it out to be, but it does kind of affect the overall riding experience when going from stop sign to stop sign. I ...

Re: 87 Spree with MLM Pipe - Improve Takeoff / Lowend

To clarrify what that 1000, 1500, 2000 etc means. It's the point in RPM in which the clutch will engage. Centrifugal force causes the clutch pads to pull out and grip onto the bell. What the springs are doing, is giving a resistance to this force up until a certain rated RPM range. Has nothing at al...

Re: 87 Spree with MLM Pipe - Improve Takeoff / Lowend

https://www.ebay.com/itm/163184393887 And again, you'll want to use the yellow springs. On a Yamaha Jog, they kick in at 2,000, on a Spree, they will kick in around 2400.

Re: 85’ Spree UPDATES!!!!

Good deal, would be very interested to know what improvements come to you doing a 13T .vs the stock 12T. You might consider picking up a spare intake and porting it out to go along with those SB50 reeds. After doing so, you should be able to run a 70 or 72 main, might need to drill 1 or 2 small (lik...
