Re: Honda spree 48mm WONT RUN
Also you said too much oil, how much is to much? What was your mix ratio? Did you face the "ex" on the piston the right way? Need to check compression as well. Oreily auto parts has a Bosch on sale right now and is the best gauge I've used yet and at $35 it's a no brainier!

Re: Post big bore tuning
The original is cleaned out and soaking ath the moment but I managed to get the new (not OE) one working right, took an aresonal of chemicals and constant air @90psi but it's flowing! To my amazement I'm getting full adjustment on the carb to! Weird to say it but Wd40 was actually the one that did t...

Re: Post big bore tuning
Alrighty, the trick is just keep doing it! Will pull em back out tonight and have at them! Should I feel a good flow out of the brass if blowing through the air box side hole with the screw in enough to plug up the other side.

Re: Post big bore tuning
After some long weekend tinkering and trial/error I'm convinced my pilot jet is clogged, both carbs I have, original and new are acting the same way, starts great, runs awesome, warms up and bottom end power vanishes! I'm guessing the reason it runs great cold is the by starter is open allowing more...

I'm way to new here as well as the entire realm
of scooters to have any leads boss. I'm still fresh enough to constantly forget the kill switch is "off" while starting.

Re: Throttle cable question for the veterans
It wasn't great, but it wasn't horrible either! I flushed it like crazy then did about 4 rounds of a 1/4 full gravel shake followed by heavy rinse. Added an in line fuel filter yesterday and today seems better. Still feel like I lose some bottom end pep though after it warms up fully... Cold and ear...

If you do swap, I might be intersted in that pipe. Keep me in mind if the time comes.

Re: Reliability Spree bbk Poll
Only issues I've had so far, knock on wood, were my own doing, soft sieze well before break in because I was getting a little exited. Tuning is a current issue but is due to many other previously non perfect components. It's getting better everyday! I just got back from a 2 hour, 40 mile of and on r...

I'm crossing my fingers I can make it out to his place this weekend but may have to postpone until next, either way I'll be meeting him soon!

I'm doing some minor tinkering, major trying to accommodate the wife's endless list of "plans", and hopefully meeting up with you to pickup some parts and meet a guy from the forum lol

Re: Post big bore tuning
I've seen a few success stories on that jakubman, though I currently have it back together and working just took some impact wrench. I plan on meeting up with Meatball this weekend regardless and picking up a whole new setup. Can't beat the price on what he's offering me.

Re: Throttle cable question for the veterans
Alright, sounds like I need to break the old one back out and swap some pieces and do another deep cleaning! It had a tendency to work great for about 20 minutes then be gummed up. I added an inline filter last night that seems to work well, maybe this last addition will help to keep it running free...

Re: Throttle cable question for the veterans
By starter it came with was dead on arrival, fortunately my original was still in working order.
