Just swap the manifold, or drill and tap yours. This is a $15 half hour fix. af16 manifold will not mount the af18 carburetor, the bolt spacing is different on the pb carb drill and tap is easy fix. be sure to find a flat area to tap it and use thread sealant. http://i1136.photobucket.com/albums/n5...

On this 87 Elite se50p I have a drive belt that is out of spec. ( .530 ). The number on the belt is 23100-gr1-0030. I can not fine one with that exact number. Yea, it kinda sounds like the starter pinion gear slightly rattling against the drive face. Did you shim out the kicker cover? If you do in fact have a pinion gear installed, you could just remove it and see if the noise goes away or not. What crankshaft are you running? Did you use the polini corsa...
