I thought that you mentioned before that the problem was on the rear pulley? That the belt was too thin and rode too low on the driven pulley?

The key and run/off switch do not work on my '97 SA50. I have no way to turn it off once it is running other than to set the idle screw so low that it dies. I believe you just take the bolt out that the lever pivots on. Then disconnect the brake cable and that should be it.

When you pull apart the '87 transmission count the gears. I don't think all of them were 13T, only some...do you have the VIN?
