Re: Grab Bar Fabrication Thread

One bar would probably work.

I just did it to match the picture.

It would actually be a lot easier just to make one bar. Save a lot of time cutting and grinding.

Re: headlight not working!!

Service manuals can be found here......http://www.hondaspree.net/phpBB3/viewforum.php?f=11

The manual will instruct you on how to test your voltage and how to disassemble your headlight housing.

Re: headlight not working!!

Check the voltage coming off of your stator before you make a solid call on the bulb being bad. I don't know about the sprees, but he aero has two separate coils that make up the stator. One for ignition, and one for lights. If this is the case, your scoot would run just fine, but your lights wouldn...

Re: Grab Bar Fabrication Thread

It even looks like there are grooves made into the rear fender to accommodate the mounting arms sliding under the rear of the seat.

Re: Grab Bar Fabrication Thread

Yeah, I have the rack to work from as far as the placement of the holes, but I'm working just from the picture to make the grab bar. I don't know why the grab bar in the pic has those humps in it right around where the end of the seat would be. The luggage rack just has straight pieces going directl...

Grab Bar Fabrication Thread

Ok, I'm starting a new thread just for the grab bars that I'm making. KingJeff was awesome enough to send me an Elite luggage rack to work from. So, the first grab bar I'm making will be for his Elite. I have to tell you, the first part of this project was much more challenging than I'd imagined. Al...

Re: 1986 black Spree project

Ok, good deal. Let me know how the other bolts work out.

I was curious about how the batter box would be affected. I'm glad to heard it was easy to make it fit right.

I like the alan heads better myself too. I might just ask the customer which they prefer before I send out the next one.

Re: 1986 black Spree project

Thanks evilone!! Rest assured your side stand will be of the same caliber. I have a few projects I'm working right now, and I can only work on the weekends due to work/school, and only a night on the weekends due to a wife and two kids. I'm working on an elite grab design tonight, then onto the elit...

Re: 1986 black Spree project

I'll tell you what man, that looks a lot better than my first weld. Haha. I'm really glad it mounted up well for you. I'm taking notes along the way with the small issues you've had so far. I included the alan head bolts with the kit because I thought they'd look better. Do you think the ...

Re: 1986 black Spree project

That mount looks good man!! I'm glad it worked out for you. Thanks for the suggestion on the bend. Hopefully I get some more orders so I can make the correction on the next one. Before you weld your motor mount tab back on, make sure you find yourself some scrap metal of the same thickness and pract...

Here's a better pic. This shows the bottom of that bracket sliding into that slit in the mount.

Re: 1986 black Spree project

If you look at the mount you'll see a small slit cut into one side of it.

That slit is made to slide into the edge of the the small bracket located on the frame. Once you mount it you should be able to see what I'm talking about.

Just wanted to give you a heads up.

See pics....
