Re: 1986 Spree

check the bystarter (electric choke) If you only have a cold start problem. But give the carb a good cleaning, theres a good tutorial in the wiki on carb cleaning, even a picture guide if needed.

The manual has one way of testing and this is another: copied from the wiki Now that it is complete, push it back on the carb, screw on the clamp, and try it out! Even with the low miles you should check the belt measurements. 15mm width or less it should be replaced, also with the age check for cracks and burn spots. Check the rollers for flat spots, and make sure there is no grease in the variator.

Re: My New 1994 Honda Elite S - Help me get it running perfe

Hello. welcome to the forum. The Sa50pr sticker under the seat is the color code. Look on the frame under the left side of the scoot for the serial and model number. probably just an sa50p. the spigot on the carb is just a vent. The sa50p should be capable of 30 mph in stock form. When you derestric...

Re: 84 Honda Aero 80 not reaching top speed

check the drive belt and rollers. Make sure to remove any grease in the variator, it is not needed and makes the rollers harder to roll. even though it only has a few thousand miles it has plenty of years to make the belt slip or degrade.

stock weights are 8.5 if I remember correctly. sock top speed of a stock one should be around 40 according to http://www.motorscooterguide.net/Honda/ ... eSA50.html.

Re: power jet replacement jets

are they used on larger motors? Or is it just something to add $$ to the price of the carb? they also use these carbs on 4 stroke motors too and other 2stroke motors that can use the power jet because how the motor flows. for ours its way easier to tune without it. and yes less money to spend on pa...

I think welding would be the only sure way. might try a muffler wrap but if it works it wont work for long.
