Re: Engine doesn't want to work...

Oh no I trust you. You have FAR more experience in this stuff than me. I just over analyze and debate opposite views of almost everything. It helps me better understand the reasoning for doing something instead of just doing it because I was told to.

I don't know to do a leakdown test. The engine stalls out when the lower screw is screwed all the way in. Anything past one full turn out has no change in idle at all.

Re: Engine doesn't want to work...

Restrictor is out. I was thinking the same thing with the choke, but wouldn't the temps go sky high from running too lean on my 38? Any recommendations for my main jet? Head gasket is going back on when I get home. I ended up having to ride my bone stock sb50 down to NH instead of this one. FOUR HOU...

Re: Engine doesn't want to work...

RPMs are very low. It won't even get up in the powerband. I went and changed the pilot to 42. Still nothing. I don't know how to do a leakdown test. I did re gasket the whole intake system with rtv when I re installed it. The base gasket is brand new too.

Engine doesn't want to work...

1987 SE50P with Malossi BBK, CT chrome intake, 21mm oko. 38 pilot, 95 main. K&n filter, Leo Vince sp3 exhaust, ruckus variator with 7g weights. Okay onto the problem... the engine is hard to start, and lacks a serious amount of power. When I had 9g weights on it would barely reach 300┬░ and take...

Head shaving suggestions. Two different engines...

I just picked up a 1990 SB50P and bought the tazz BBK and intake / Carb kit. Since I have to get the head milled for the bigger bore I figured I would get the head shaved too. Also I am going ti bring in the head for my Malossi SE50 kit in and have it shaved too. The SE50 is at 110 psi right now. Wh...

Re: 93 Honda Elite Crankshaft splines are gone, I need help!

The SE50 is pretty limited on upgrades. I have the malossi BBK, CT chrome intake, 21mm OKO Carb, ruckus variator, and Leo Vince sp3 exhaust. It rips pretty d*** good. I can easily get to 45. 50 with a hill. If I get the gears I'm sure I would be doing even better.

What about the other way around? 16 gears in an 05 with the 16 cover?

No aftermarket pipes available? That would be great.

Re: 89 Elite sb50p

I heard you need the sb50 exhaust. Not too sure though. I just picked up a 1990 SB50P a couple days ago. I'm wondering if a derestricted SE50 exhaust will work. I have one kicking around that I might try bolting on.

I might be able to do that. The only thing I'm concerned with is being able to take the nut off to change weights.

Re: 93 Honda Elite Crankshaft splines are gone, I need help!

I did that on one of mine and the kick start won't grab it very well. Is there maybe a better nut we can use? Mine constantly backs itself off the threads no matter how hard I tighten it.
