Re: 1986 Honda Aero 50 starts but dies after 5 sec

Stop using starter fluid and use a squirt can with a gasoline and a small amount of oil in it. Before you try to start it again, open the drain screw at the bottom of the carb and see how much gasoline runs out. If the carb float bowl is empty, it should obviously be full. If it was full before you ...

Re: Honda Navi - Here is what ScooterSwapShop is up to

That out the door price is about $600 less than I paid and about $1000 less than the larger Florida dealers are asking. There must not be any sales tax in Kentucky, and that is a heck of a deal.. Honda web site says $1,807 + 200 destination + 100 shipping surcharge. On top of that $2,107, we get add...

Honda Navi - Here is what ScooterSwapShop is up to

I have had a Honda Navi on order since Honda announced them about a month ago. Dealers in almost every state have them, except for Florida, California, and perhaps a few others.. no word yet on when mine will come in.. Looks like my dealer will be one of the last to get them. Brandon is in this one:...

Re: The Daily Chat

MM, you might be right.. that box with your MB5 rack should have arrived on Saturday, but I see it is lost in the ether... Jacksonville on January 6, Memphis on January 8, Nashville on January 8, and then nothing since.. three days with no movement since January 8... Maybe snow is holding up the mail?

Re: The Daily Chat

mm, I removed the front rack on my MB5 that I got from Treatland. I was carrying dog biscuits and cheeseburgers up there, but now I am just using a MOLLE bag on a crossbar. If you want the rack for free, with free shipping, PM me with your new mailing address. The is the rack I am talking about: htt...

Re: Gyro - general thread

I'm starting to run out of ideas for Youtube videos. I have been focusing on Super Cub 125 and Trail 125 videos, but a few days ago, I made a Gyro riding video, pretty much just because I was out of ideas. I have already used up all of the scenic rides near me. Here is the link to the Gyro video: ht...

Re: 85 spree - front wheel wobbles

Start by updating your location in your profile... you might find someone near you who has the parts you need.
If you live in Florida, you can get every part for a Spree for free here:

Re: 86 Honda Spree. Changed about everything, still won't run

When you open the drain screw (the lowest of three flat slot screws on the side of the carb) does gasoline run out of the drain pipe, and if so, how much?

Where are you located? Please take a second to add your location to you profile. If you live in Florida, I have a free 84 Aero engine also in need of a rebuild. Maybe you can make two into one nice one.. Also have a lot of Spree parts including a couple of bodies and engines you can also have when y...

Re: 86 Spree not turning over

No fire at the plug is very rare. No gasoline in the carb is very common. Leave the air filter box in place, and unscrew the cap (the part that the throttle cable runs through) on the top of the carb, and lift it up slightly without pulling out the slide. Then using an oil can, squirt three pumps of...

Re: 86 Spree not turning over

No, the oil level sensor isn't the problem. All it does is turn on the low oil light. When you squeeze a brake lever, does the brake light light up? Also check the position of the kill switch on the right side of the handlebar.
