There will be a red two prong connector. Just cut it. They give you plenty of wire. I ride a LOT so I should see if it holds up pretty quickly. So far the scooter is very happy! FWIW I just replaced my bystarter for less than $6.
The generic units on Ebay are a direct fit. I ordered one for 99 cents plus a few bucks shipping. Came all the way from China in two weeks and works perfectly.

Thanks to JW Parts Plus the clutch is fixed. Bummer today though. Was re-applying some exhaust paint, doing the carb o-rings, and replacing a cracked intake and when I was buttoning it back up I noticed the rear tire has a staple in it. I pulled the carb today. It was totally FULL of crap. I'm really surprised it ran at all. And it only had a #53 jet installed.
I'll order a cheap replacement and filter, new cable, and #56 for it.

Darn it, there was a "free tomos moped" on CL the other day. I replied 11 mins after the ad was posted and was too late!

Picked up a 2005 Tomos Sprint yesterday. Pedals, black, all stock. Well used but runs good and starts on the first try. $300. I could have haggled a bit but I'm happy. Pics to come.
