Re: Chipping panel repair?

:coolcruise: Above I said how to patch a crack from the back. When the back is done the crack should be aligned. First grind away the paint over the crack about 1" either side of the crack. Grove out the crack with a burr. Next drill 1/8" holes on either sides of the crack, grove across th...

Re: Chipping panel repair?

:coolcruise: I have been repairing panels from 6 elites in prep for paint. Grind the back of the crack down to clean plastic. Cut fiberglass mat a little smaller than the grind spot. Mix 1/4 oz. resin with 5 drops of hardener. I mix in small 6 oz plastic cups with a Popsicle stick. Put the resin ove...

Re: tuning 26mm Polini Carb for 72cc Polini Corsa

:coolcruise: I have pollini carbs on most of my elites. Most main jets are a little over 100. I am still working on the correct pilot. I am interested in what you settle on for pilot. All of the pollinis idle fine. I did not have that luck with the OKOs.

Re: af18e shroud clearance BBK

:coolcruise: I ground a little off the cooling fins to get clearance. I don't think it took very much.

Re: Jetting Help - 21mm OKO/Corsa/Scorpion

:coolcruise: I had a lot of problems on the OKO getting the bottom end to work. I tried every combination pilot, air bleed adjust, idle adjust, I could. Even on multiple af16's. By accident I tried a Pollini. And everything straighten out. I couldn't believe the difference. I felt like I finally got...

Re: Farewell hondaspree

:coolcruise: I am sorry this is happening to you G9. You are always very positive. I have always got more than fair deals from you. You know a lot more about scoots than me, so I always treat with respect what you have to say. I will miss not seeing your posts. Ps I also like the motor pics.

OKO vs. KOSO jets

:coolcruise: does any one know if oko and Koso main jets are interchangeable? They have the same thread but are totally different. The oko are much longer and have a 5mm hex.

Re: Af16 crank bearing removal

:coolcruise: I got the bearing off. It took a torch, a small grind stone then a cut off wheel, and finally the puller. You could see where the very center of the inner race was welded to the crank. Thanks for the help. I split another case today and both bearings stayed in the cases.

Re: Af16 crank bearing removal

No. The puller I have goes between the bearing and the journal. I have a slide hammer, but no way to connect it to the bearing race.

Af16 crank bearing removal

:coolcruise: I am trying to remove one of the crank bearings ( the other came off in the case). I am trying to get the puller between the journal and the bearing. Right now I have it pretty tight, and it has not moved at all. Can I cut it off with a torch? Are there any other tricks? Both bearings o...

Leak down test af16

:coolcruise: what pressure ( psi) and or vacuum ("hg) should I use for leak down?
