Re: Changing Spree tires - What's the trick?

You ought to be able to mount the tires with no tools using dish soap lube. Rather than describing how to do it, I'd be happy to drive down and show you how to do it. The key is to realize that the center of the rim is a much smaller diameter than the outside of the rim. You simply start with the ti...

Re: Need help with Express SR electrical

I have an Express SR, and it works perfectly, but I have almost no spare parts for it. First, start with downloading the free copy of the service manual at: http://www.motorscooterguide.net/Manuals/Honda_NX50_Service_Manual.pdf It has a very good troubleshooting sections. You never mentioned the fus...

Re: Gyro - general thread

I'm in Yokohama today, filling up a sea container with used Honda scooters, so I can get ahead of 1man8scoots in total count.. I stopped for lunch at McDonalds and found three Gyro Canopy delivery scoots out back.. 8 inch wheels in back, 12 inch in front.. Here is photo of one, with some detail phot...

Re: 87 SE50 "Elite S" project..piece by piece

Everyone should have several of these, and you will stop stripping out the heads of carb bowl bolts.. yes, a bit expensive, but it will be the best tool in your box: https://www.wihatools.com/3k-anti-camout-phillips-screwdrivers What you want is part # 46812. You might as well start by buying two of...

gaaunapoi said: I will try to get the bowl filled but if that doesn't work I will try to find the crank case seal. Does anyone know what that is exactly, I tried to Google it and came up short, I think I have a rough idea, but would like to confirm. It sounds like you didn't read the link I posted i...

Re: 1994 Elite S SA50P Cold Start Problem

Just to be sure, I would remove the cover to the airbox, and tape up the square hole marked in red that you cut per the directions in the link you referenced... i.e. http://www.hondaspree.net/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=34041 Very easy to do, and it may shed some light on the problem. I de-restri...

Re: Using 86 wire harness on 85 motor. SPREE

I think it is almost plug and play but I think some of the wire connectors are different, while being in the same location. For example I think the bystarter on an 85 carb will have bullet connectors, while an 86 will have a two pin connector. I think there is at least one other place where a two pi...

Re: Spree won't start. No vacuum? Good compression.

Check your left crank seal.. it is very easy to do, and easy to fix. I have see the left seal blown out on three different Sprees. The dead give away is no vacuum in the line to the petcock. Have a look at this topic:

Re: Tapping spree carb

Toss the JB weld... useless for repairing threads. Instead of using nuts or some other hack job, use 6MM helicoils and the original Honda mounting bolts. Stronger than the original aluminum, the repair doesn't show, and is professional. http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-5546-6-HELICOIL-THREAD-REPAIR-6-MM-...

What Meatball and jerz40 said. Not only that, but 80% of a Spree takes up a lot more room than one all put together..

Re: What are they worth / best way to sell Sprees.

As you know, putting the second one in your name will cost about $100 in Florida. Typically, the asking price for a running Spree on Craigslist with a Florida title is about $450 - $500. My problem is that that is pretty cheap, and you can have a lot of fun with a $500 Spree. I seem to be the only o...
