Re: Gasket material type/stencils wanted (afo5e

Here's a PNG file of the Spree gaskets that I made. I drew them up in Illustrator, and cut them with my plotter out of sheet gasket material... Let me know if you need it in any other format. http://www.ericpatzer.com/SpreeGaskets.png That link just goes to a blank site and when saving the image, i...

Afo5e Ring Replacement

Does anybody know the size/ where I can buy oem/alternative piston rings for the afo5e? One of mine has one tip broken so I'm not getting much compression. But a new pair would be ideal so if you can provide an eBay listing or somthing thanks.

Gasket material type/stencils wanted (afo5e

Does anybody know the gasket type used for the base of the engine barrel? I'd buy a set online but currency conversion plus shipping means cheapest one I can buy is around 70$ a set. So trying to buy material local and cut it out myself. Thanks.

Re: Carburetor Cleaning suprise

I'm betting that the carb either doesn't have a main jet, or the main jet's the wrong size (too big) and the aluminum foil was meant to restrict gasoline into the carb. Have not seen this done b/f and if I'm correct, it's kind of a brilliant way to repair this issue quickly with stuff on hand... Ta...

Re: Carburator Cleaning suprise

Actually, the piece of crap appears to be a ball of tinfoil, Micheal rodent spotted! Well, the pic of the carb was fuzzy. I wanted to see if it was in fact a Keihin oem carburetor. As far as it being a honda eve, I have no knowledge of them. So you say it ran just fine? Ball of tin foil huh? I foun...

Re: Carburator Cleaning suprise

Welp I've cleaned the float bowl which was filthy, I'm just going to see if it works. I probably should have counted the turns on the adjustment screws.

Re: Carburator Cleaning suprise

The peice of crap that was in the hole looks like a bit of solder. Might I add there are no threads up there, to me it looks like the eve had a factory set jet carb or somthing. Still no idea how that solder got in there though

Re: Carburator Cleaning suprise

It's always run fine, I should correct myself actually it's not a spree, it's an eve. Extremely similar to the spree. It does have a manual choke!
Thanks for the assistance though.

Carburetor Cleaning suprise

Is this post in the middle (which I assume is something to do with the throttle) supposed to look like this? This carb is from a spree with manual choke.

Re: Honda Spree (Eve) Ignition Problem

I worked it out, turns out spree ignitions aren't compatible due to there being no white plug on the wiring loom of the eve, gust a gr and a bl/w so I had to resolder the back of the ignition switch and now it works fine!
