Re: How many helmets?
I stumbled onto it while Googling my model for accessories. It was recalled for failing a pentration test. I called AFX they seem to question the validity of the test but chose to initiate a voluntary recall. They seem very helful, in fact they say I'll get a free shaded visor as a good will gesture...

Re: How many helmets?
Two AFX helmets (kind of);
AFX FX-48 (Skutour): 3/4 face, nice helmet, a little noisy but very comfortable.
AFX FX-28: Full face flip-up, it's been recalled! I'm waiting for AFX to send my replacement.

Re: Honda HELIX Owners???
Does anyone have expierience w/ the Qlink CFMoto (chinese, I know) clones I've heard they come about as close as you can get in a copy, that even engine and body parts are interchangable w/ Honda. First hand feed back (not hear say) would be nice.

Re: how do you transport your scoots?
I use a hitch carrier for my Elite 80. It fits fine I just strap it back to the car for safety and go. I used to lift one end at a time onto the carrier but that got old fast so I built a small ramp from a piece of 1x4 lumber and two 1x2 strips for sides. I banged a plate into a hook for the edge of...

Drain plug
The drain plug is NOT on the bottom of the engine that is the tensioner. I own a CH80 and change my own oil. Don't take my word for it, look in the service manual page 2-2. The drain is located on the side of the engine. Removing the wrong one will cause you grief. Look in the manual it is availabe ...

I have a 95 Elite 80. I weigh about 160 and on level ground with no wind 45-47 is about max. It's entirely stock. I'm told it sat in the shed about 5 years before I got it. It took three attempts to get the carburator properly clean. I replaced the plug and air filter and a missing cooling shroud. N...

NY registration
From the NYS DMV web site: The DMV certifies a moped as a Class A, Class B or Class C limited use motorcycle according to top speed. The manufacturer requests the certification through the DMV Technical Services Bureau. Only a DMV-certified model of limited-use motorcycle can get a registration in N...
