Re: Looking for faster out of my SA50 Swapped Spree
I know wheelman has much experience with SE50 from reading a bunch of posts from 2008. So after the first launch the clutch is cooked/glazed? Is this remedied with a certain clutch spring youd recommend? Im not really looking to burn up clutches and fixing them every 100mi.

Reading Sharpie lines on a vari
Made a few lines with a Sharpie on the vari pulley and was checking to see how high the belt runs. Took it for a 5mi test run with a few hills up n down. Pulled the belt cover and saw marks left behind at the top of the pulley. They are about 1/8th of an inch long. I know that's not much but Im wond...

Re: Looking for faster out of my SA50 Swapped Spree
Looks like 7.83 ratio....How would that be on a stock bore? Just a sluggish take-off? Price?

Re: Looking for faster out of my SA50 Swapped Spree
Got the "US2" ramp plate from an 85' Aero installed. It looks like the same ramp angle as the Keli but the 3 slider clips are stamped deeper on the US2. Still using the Keli pulley since the roller ramps on the stock Aero pulley didn't look as steep. Going to give it a test run now.

Re: Looking for faster out of my SA50 Swapped Spree
How tall and how much? Is it primary gears only? A or B or both? I might wanna try those just to play around with.graphite9 wrote:I do have gears your motor by the way but they are a tad tall without a big bore kit.

Re: Looking for faster out of my SA50 Swapped Spree
http://hondaspree.net/wiki/index.php5?title=Transmission_Reduction_Ratios One thing I forgot to mention was that I have the stock gears from an 87' SE50A (check chart above)...the primary "A" gear is 13 tooth which puts me at 10.2 ratio. I couldn't find any aftermarket gears that would fit...

Re: Why are my crank splines sticking out?
So i dog around and have only one ramp plate, but it's for af16, pretty much sold of all my af05 stuff Yeah, turns out the variated af05 stuff that fits an SE50 is tough to find since it has a unique crank. I was coming to dead-ends everywhere till I found out that 85' Aero parts fit it. Just hopin...

Re: Why are my crank splines sticking out?
Ive been chatting with Steve over at VT about my situation and heres what he replied with: "The best ramp we used to use on our SE50 was the Honda "US2" ramp plate that came out of the 1985 NB50 Aero 50." Aloha, Steve VT I wish I had known this was compatible a long time ago. I w...

Re: Nq50 questions
I'm sill new to some things, and I thought I heard before of a variated AF05E motor, where can I find one of these at? For some reason, I keep thinking they were only available in like a Honda Eve, or Smile. I'm not sure, but I'd like to find out more on this one. These are a good read...and much l...

Re: Why are my crank splines sticking out?
No hard feelings...I chalked it up as "buyer beware" or "lesson learned". I wasn't going to mention who I got it from since that's not how I roll. I knew there was a chance it was an honest mistake so I didn't turn it into a mud slinging contest. It speaks volumes about y...

Re: Getting the Tazland BBK, GEARS, + MLM ran on a dyno
Its rather jimmy-rigged Id have to admit but mine is just zip tied up to the wire loom wherever it would reach. I just didn't want it wrapping up in the rear tire since the fender is gone now too. I was thinking of cutting the airbox portion completely off the assembly so I can re-attach the fender ...
