Only the California Madasses have the emissions junk. Everyone gets rid of that clunky crap anyways. lol
Check under the engine, near the shift lever output shaft. There should be a serial number for the engine there.

look into buying a cheap Chinese scoot, i got my disc brake conversion sitting in my shed for $100.. I found a 2004 baja sc50 at a garage sale... Excellent idea. I bought two china scoots last summer and parted them out. Sold the front ends for $75 a piece. CARP here on the forum bought both of them!

I'm not sure about the new Honda motors....but my Madass I check the valves every 1,000-1,500 miles. It is a 140cc 4-stroke so I would guess it's similar. Also, be sure to do the early mileage check because the original setting WILL change after break-in! EDIT: It is a rather simple procedure if you...
