Re: Aero's been spotted!

He's supposed to call me if he sees it again, he knows the guy lives around the neighborhood. He's going to snatch it and hide it in his garage and I told him I'd compensate him with anything I could. That is most definitely NOT how I'd go about it. If he can ID the person and location of the scoot...

I emailed a local guy (just yesterday) and he told me $80 to do my Elite wheels in candy blue (silver base with clear-blue cover) and $50 for gloss black (single coating). He said this includes sandblasting and all prep work.

Cheers.

After doing some more research, I'm thinking about getting the Keli variator, 1000rpm Polini grab springs and the 9.1:1 gears. This leads me to wonder if I'll need something lighter than the provided 9g rollers with the Keli kit? Insight would be appreciated, as I don't want to lose any more acceler...

Re: Score on Elite

You won't need heavier than 8s, even with the stock spring. Start thinking about swapping springs if you get down to 4s and 3s, which you probably won't with stock gears. Otherwise, postpone dismantling that clutch pack. It's a PIA unless you have the right tools. I'll take note of this.... I took ...

New Elite- Opinions Needed

Well after tossing the idea of a motor swap and other various things for my Spree, I decided to just purchase an Elite altogether. This past weekend I went and looked at a 2001 Honda Elite S with only 3500 miles. The scooter was in excellent shape with only a few scratches. I am proud to say I only ...

It requires machining off the bottom of the jug about 5mm or so to get the piston up to the top of the jug (different deck heights for Spree and Elite pistons) Any reason why you couldn't take ~5mm off of the top of the crankcase itself? Seems like that would be much easier... And wouldn't these cu...

  dam thats a lot of miles. id say anywhere between 3-4000 miles would be time for a top end rebuild. check your compression. that will tell u everything. u want around 120psi. any money with that amount of miles, your reed valve flaps probably has has a gap. look into that. 8) My Spr...

The stator runs your lights and charges the battery, the amp draws over 300 watts(it cant be 100% efficient), 300 watts at 14.4 volts is 20 amps, correct me if Im wrong but the elite calls for a 7 amp fuse for the WHOLE electrical system. Back to some speakers from a pair of beat up headphones in y...

No, the sub would not work. 1. There are not enough channels on that amp to properly set up the sub/speaker combo. 2. There isn't enough room to make a large enough sealed off area for the sub to work correctly. 3. Just no, lol. The speakers should sound good. It is 300 peak watts x 2 channels @ 2oh...

Personally I would just drill and re-tap the next size larger bolt. Please keep in mind that the correct drill bit size is CRITICAL to the threading process.

Re: Running Naked

Greetings: The front half of the cover is necessary for the starter mechanism and/or kickstart. However a Sawzall could address clearance issues with the back half of the belt cover - eliminate it behind the kickstart pedal and run naked? If something critical to function on the block is ...
