Re: Compression test on non-running elite

2 stokes have three main issues.
spark - compression - fuel

if you have two of three, it's probably the other one.

Clean the carb, like crazy.

Re: You're best stock cylinder set up?

9:1 gears could be in order. would add a little more top end whilst leaving reasonable takeoff.

Re: Metropolitan rear wheel with a 90/90 owners.....

Have you tested with an alternate gauge? Does it feel soft to you?

When i had my met rim i ran it around 33psi in the rear. YMMV

Thats what i was thinking, but it doesn't slide very easily. I just didn't want to break something that shouldn't be broken.

Mikuni carb cleaning?

I am trying to clean a carb for my bro. It had been sitting for 3 years and the main jet had 1/4" of hard goo sitting in the hole. No wonder the carb was flooding. But how in the world do i get this float off? I am trying to dunk it for a bit and can't figure out how to remove. Carb is off a Pe...

Re: CH150 question

Conversion, neat idea! Then by all means do what you need to do to keep it cool. Are you going to stick the radiator behind the front wheel? If I recall the carburetor faces to the front. Pushing a bike that weighs 100 pounds less you may not need quite as much cooling. Cover the back of the radiat...

This is exactly what i was thinking! I could even use two if needed. Do you think the wiring would work? or the voltage?

Most of my driving will be in the city with stopages ranging as high as a few minuets.

Re: rear brake doesn't work!

I just check the wheel. The Stock rim had a 95mm break drum. Ran it with stock wheel and metro rim.

Any luck or new news?

Re: front pegs

Here's what i am thinking. Extend the footrest support out past the plastic and attach a peg that can pivot up and almost out of sight or be down and usable.
