Re: Fabrizi 50mm Squish

Your port timing is for engine speed and power, like baka said it does not dictate race worthiness. Extremely high rpm port timing use is for drag racing and is not good for track riding. If you like light switch power then 190 is what you go for. But you will have a very narrow power band. Blow dow...

Re: corsa and mhr boost port

The mhr is wider than the corsa. You can use a mhr gasket and widen the port of the corsa to match. The bottom angle is important to flow. All of my corsa/contessa have been modified in this way. I would also port the outer wall of the boost port after the decline.

Re: Fabrizi 50mm Squish

My fabrizi is .6 factory seals and deck height. But I have the 2 ring. Is yours a protruding style head or flush style?

Re: '94 Elite Build (winter project)

The kx/rm reeds are great for the stop go for around town. You'll get around 3k miles out of them depending how hard you ride. The single petal designs are best for all out power but sacrifice bottom end. Boyesen makes a single petal also. How did you like the Kitano belt? The polini belt is great f...

Re: pg long pipe verse short pipe question

I have never been a fan of the long. I run the short with good results on the stock cylinders but as cruising has said the 0 to 20 is a bit sketchy. The short and long have been said to be good for 90cc as well which may be why they have a bit of soft power delivery. I like the shorts but prefer tru...

Re: Piston and Ring differences between Contessa/Corsa

They're listed different but the pistons are the same part number in the boxes. The first few corsa kits I used years ago were distinctly more dull grey and had the feel of graphite coating. All in all I never noticed a difference when they transitioned. I may have one of the old pistons laying arou...

Re: Piston and Ring differences between Contessa/Corsa

Shiny ring on top, dull scraper ring on bottom. There's really no reason for the shiny ring besides less drag. They seem to be more brittle after time. Maybe someone has more knowledge on the tensile strengths between the two.

Re: Piston and Ring differences between Contessa/Corsa

Polini is out of production of the graphite coated pistons but has neglected to update the box. Many manufacturers do this. Fabrizi, stage 6, polini, and hebo are all brands I've found inaccuracies in their cylinder kits contents. I tried to get a coated piston but was told nla. The coating does not...
