Re: Three strikes, and out.
Bear, there just isn`t anything called honor anymore. I could see if I`d told the guy I`d meet him at a certain time and then didn`t show, but that wasn`t the case. I figured we had a commitment that I was ready and able to honor. Oh, well. I am a firm believer in "everything happens for a reas...

Re: Three strikes, and out.
Nice find! I, on the other hand, am still batting zero. Emailed a guy about a `87 Elite "spacey" that he had listed for $100. Plastics looked great, had 16K on it. Told him I`d take it and to email me the particulars. He emailed back with his phone number and told me to call if I still wan...

Mitsubishi made one called the Silver Pigeon that looks kinda like a Lambretta, too.
I saw a Triumph on CL a few weeks ago. Never knew Triumph made a scooter!

Trees won`t help, Swim. A black bear will just climb up with ya, and a griz will just shake you out.

Re: Three strikes, and out.
I guess beauty is truly in the eye of the beholder, but I find the older (and newer) Vespas, as well as the Lambrettas, absolutely beautiful. They have the classic lines of a thoroughbred, and have a look of luxury to them, to me anyways. A lot of folks probably wouldn`t care for my choice in road b...

Three strikes, and out.
I blew the chance at three different scooters last week. The first one was a `04 Metropolitan for $200. I`ve already got three, but the price was great, and I figured I could fix it up and sell it off to put some extra change in my scooter fund. The deal sounded a bit hokey. Guy claimed he...

Memorial Day Wishes
Hope everyone had a great time with their families, but I wish everyone would take a moment to thank all the fallen soldiers that died for this great country, and to also thank all the ones that made it back alive.
A big thank you to all veterans, past and present.

Re: Transmission binding.
I measured the thickness of a metal washer and then sanded the plastic one down to the same thickness with some 220 grit paper layed on a flat surface. No more binding.

What`s a SE50 worth?
Found one chained to a tree less than a half mile from my house. This thing has been beat BAD; The front plastics might be repairable, the rears are gone, the floorboard is FUBAR, the wiring has been cobbled, but the engine is all there and runs. The guy`s got a "make offer" sign stuck on ...
