Re: HOW TO: Convert 1985+ NB50 to Disk Brakes
I talked with Carter at SSS and he mentioned that hes done this conversion. Apparently the speedo cable needs to come up the middle because of how the headset is placed. I have ruined the ability to do that save for maybe drilling a hole in the side of the stem. I am still thinking about if i want t...

Re: HOW TO: Convert 1985+ NB50 to Disk Brakes
So I have some updates. Ill start off with this message for anyone following after me. There are a few kits coming from taiwan with a 2.15 wheel setup. You should just buy that kit lol. I went back and forth on piecing this together vs buying a kit. I think the caveats, combined with shipping on lit...

HOW TO: Convert 1985+ NB50 to Disk Brakes
So, originally I said I wasnt going to do this. I really never planned to get further than a variator on an Aero. Then I got a cheap AF16, then I rebuilt it into a not so cheap AF16. Going 60+ just feels absolutely unsafe. Then the mentality sets in. I didn't cheap out on the rest of the motor, why ...

To rehone or not?
I have an 86 aero 50 that seems to run pretty strong for the time, but i was going to tear it down and clean it up. I know it has been opened before because it has washers on one side of the head bolts. I wanted to get a piston and rings and gaskets and freshen it up while im cleaning the thing and ...

Re: Not getting all the way on pipe
So based on what I was told from other folks on FB running similar setups on their bikes, I decided to DownJet even more! I am currently at 40Pilot, 1clip from top needle, and 110 Main. Temps touched 300 maybe a few times. Polini Belt (supposedly too short according to brandon), 5.5g rollers, Maloss...

Re: af09 engine swap to af18 engine, pulse line missing to fuel pump
Im not super familiar with the af18, i know its very similar to an af16. I would think you need an af16 intake or an aftermarket intake that would have the vacuum for the petcock. I have a couple around, as do others here probably

Re: Not getting all the way on pipe
I managed to get it out this weekend, I downjetted to 120 main and it doesnt seem to be running hot on that either, but its also very cold. I couldnt necessarily tell a difference in power or anything, though I did get closer to 300 degrees on a hard run that lasted about a mile or so. I know that y...

Re: Hard starting. Crank seal leak
Definitely leaking. My son noticed air escaping from the left side cover when cranking. Pulled cover and confirmed leaking from the seal. Will you replace that now. What is the Easiest way to tell if the seal is leaking soapy water and trying to start it? If its leaking there will be oil coming fro...

Re: Not getting all the way on pipe
glad to hear youre getting it sorted out. an exhaust leak will kill performance. what weights are you running in your variator? lighter weights will let it rev a little higher before it starts to shift. Currently running 3 10g weights, I'm going to get my new scale out and sort the polini weight ki...

Re: Not getting all the way on pipe
Hi Nate, it’s been awhile since the fabrizi pipe has been mentioned but I seem to recall it was designed to pair up with the fabrizi 82cc bbk and I have heard mention of older 90cc fabrizi bbk but either way, those fabrizi exhaust ports were huge! And possibly your corsa does not pair perfectly wit...

Re: Not getting all the way on pipe
I went for a ride with a 40 pilot this weekend, but didnt get far. The bike doesnt like to rev till its warmed up and I cant get it up to 200 in this cold without riding at low speed. I went down to the farmers market, but once I tried to get on it leaving, I was backfiring and it ran like crap but ...
