Also, I wonder about the unifilter and if it's filtering/slowing the air enough, if at all. My scoot didn't come w an ai...

Nice scoots! I'm usually running around the south end by tukwila and South Lake washington. If it's sunny out I might try to make some runs thus weekend or next! Is riverview in w.s.? If you look in the general thread, I've got some more vids posted.

This doesn't sound right to me either... my aero has the stock bore still and hits 40 w a variator,belt,clutch,n uni. Way faster downhill. You said you want a muffler, so I'm guessing it's still got the stock one? It might be clogged, or even restricted still.

Huh, I figured it might be cheap insurance from detonation? And I've been overheating on long runs from time to time...

I would listen, these guys know what there talking about. If you want something to play with, get a variator kit w some weights. And everything else graphite9 said haha, buy the vario will make it "faster" depending what you want from that, be it top speed or acceleration, which these scoo...

Ok, so got to 41 on gps today, w a bald tire w low air haha, on flat ground. Still using the lucas semi-synthetic smokeless 2t oil, run 2 tanks thru, but noticed it seemed to overheat on me. Sputters n pops, slows down, then it's ok again. Could be some water in the tank or something, it's been rain...

Ya that's what I figured too haha. It's "clear" smoke or somethimg, cuz it still smells bad like a 2t. But I swear it cuts way down on smoke and my stock muffler doesn't load up so much and I think I might have even started idling better but I don't kno if it's just me or not. I used to us...

So, I saw a YouTube video about this. Guy tried a couple of the "racing" cdis on a 4 stroke 50, and found limited gains. But then he modified the pickup mount for the ignition and claimed to see better gains across the board. Any comments?
