Re: 86 Spree not turning over
No, the oil level sensor isn't the problem. All it does is turn on the low oil light. When you squeeze a brake lever, does the brake light light up? Also check the position of the kill switch on the right side of the handlebar.

Re: What’s my mint ‘87 with 30 miles worth??
Price depends on your location. Please update your location in your profile or mention it in your post, and you will get a good answer here. Note that mint condition means perfect, chrome looks like it was made yesterday, plastics still shine like new, 35 year old tires tires are not dry rotted, ori...

Re: Inherited a nice 85 Spree, but can't get it to start
When nothing came out when you drained the float bowl, that is pretty good proof that there is no fuel in the float bowl. Either your fuel line is blocked somewhere, or the vacuum petcock on the bottom of the gas tank is not working or there is no vacuum in the line to the petcock that opens it. Als...

Re: Inherited a nice 85 Spree, but can't get it to start
Leave the air filter in place. Fill a pump type oil can with gasoline and a little bit of 2-stroke oil. Then unscrew the top of the carb (the round piece that the throttle cable goes through, and lift the top up just enough so you can squirt a couple of good squirts from your oil can directly into t...

Re: Replacement Carburetor Question
I would say to find the purpose of that port with some study, before capping it off. If it leads into the float bowl above the level of fuel in the bulb, it might be a vent, and probably shouldn't be blocked off. You would then put a short piece of hose on it, and route the end of the hose out the b...

Nice find! Looks cleaner than my red one, and that one is pretty cherry. I assume this means the mega NS50F ride for June 18 and 19 in Nashville is kaput?

Re: Installed New Carb, Still Won’t Start
Step one is to unscrew the lower screw on the bottom of the float bowl until it almost falls out and see if any gasoline runs out. Report back on what you find. Then screw the screw back into place. While waiting for the answer to number 1, using your fingers, unscrew the finned aluminum cap on the ...

Re: New kit low compression
1. How well did the engine run before you put the 82cc kit on it? 2. Poor compression can also be caused by bad crank seals. I see you installed crank seals.. did the installation go well, or were either of them damaged in installation? 3. When you take the uni filter off, and cover the intake to th...

Re: Will an AF05 mag work on AF16?
What is a mag? To me, that is an abbreviation for a magneto, and neither engine has one. Please be specific as to what part you are asking about. Look at the parts fiches here and report back: for AF05: https://www.hondapartshouse.com/oemparts/l/hon/5053dbaff870021c54bda7c8/1984-nq50-a-parts for AF1...

Re: 2007 Honda Metropolitan runs really bad
I agree, it doesn't make sense.. the only two things I could think of that would chance with the engine warming up are heat related. Overheating from lack of water circulating in the cooling system, or the bystarter stuck in the rich position (no voltage on the wires to the bystarter, or it is jamme...

Re: Spree idle sticks
My guess is that your idle circuit is plugged up and you are idling on the main jet. When you screw in and out on the idle air bleed screw, does it have any effect on the idle speed? Does the engine stop when it's idling and you screw the air bleed screw lightly all the way in? If it doesn't, then y...
