Re: Is My Carb Too Big?

I'd have to agree. Running 28 OKO is oldschool. was all the rage back then, but its def overkill nowadays. I'm guilty of a Corsa/28OKO/PG Long setup myself, and thoroughly loved and enjoyed it but it was PITA to dial in. But it could be done. My best with the 28 OKO: Pilot = 55 Main = 142 Needle = 1...

Re: How To Build A Fast Elite! Build and Tune info (56k bewa

should run a 28 oko with that set up way better pull and top end... also technically it isnt a true 72cc, 72 bore and ministroke crank i think comes out 76cc, and about gears... i got 7 flat and i hit 75... the gearing can work for you or against you it all depends on the setup... lower the gear st...

Front Tire Orientation |\/| |/\|

So how does everyone mount their front tires? Just got some new 3.0-10 Michelin S1's for my 98 Elite, and debating on which way to go. On motorcycles, the typical convention is for the front tire treads to be facing "backward" (center of grooves pointing up), with the claims of better trac...

Re: 1994 Honda Elite SA50P won't start

for me...just new hone and rings 80 psi is ok, because they have not broken-in yet, 80psi is not enough minimum performance requirement, but to start an engine, yes it could be.....i would pay attention to ignition spark and gas supply in cold start (in warm weather).......on ignition spark make su...

Re: 1994 Honda Elite SA50P won't start

Yes 80psi is too low to start. 100-110min in general, manual calls for 114min see manual for service limit: section 3-7 (page 27) http://www.hondaspree.net/other/SA50_88-02_service.pdf the "turns over much faster now" part makes me think, something's not sealing right at piston/cyl. how mu...

Re: AF05 carb on AF16 // PA 31M vs PA 35J carb differences

So major update, but no pics been slacking sorry. Did some more fiddling with the carbs yesterday. How da heck does that emulsion tube come out?!? looks pressed in?? no recess to twist out.. Not wanting to damage the carb, but really wanting to ride, I cobbled together the following: PA 31M carb (wi...

Re: AF05 carb on AF16 // PA 31M vs PA 35J carb differences

Beyond the main jet, the emulsion tube and needle are tuning components which change between different carb tags. Try swapping the AF16 e-tube, needle and jet in the AF05 carb. See this link for e tube comparisons. It gives an idea of variations. However I do not have a pic of the 88-93 etube. Plea...
