Re: Possible Bystarter?
Got my bystarter. Installed it. Then my throttle cable cashed out and got stuck full throttle 24/7. Replaced that yesterday with my '85 spree's cable. Bump sensitivity is GONE. Only slightly occurs immediately after starting cold and goes away within a minute or so. As for the power after warming up...

Re: Bystarter question...
I recently replaced the bystarter on my 86 spree which was bump sensitive. It was no longer bogging/stalling on bumps or down hills. Unfortunately my throttle cable finally cashed out so it's full throttle 24/7. I will have more info after i swap throttle cables with my 85 spree.

Re: Possible Bystarter?
Update on chinese bystarter: Well, it never came. The ebay seller said 1-2 days to process and ship. Then 15-21 work days to arrive. Even considering that + holidays, today was the maximum limit. I ordered it on august 7th and still not here on sept 6th. They will be getting some nasty feedback. Peo...

Re: Sleeping and riding accident
That truck driver saved his life. Did you see him swerve out of the way at the last second? It must suck to sleep at the wheel.

Re: Hey Guys, Long time no see!! Whats up?
Its not the thing for old people. Its the thing for disabled people. My dad was accepted when he was in his late 30's i think. Im pretty sure your age has no bearing on eligibility, just the degree of disability. EDIT: this is the difference in the names of disability vs age incomes. -Social Securit...

Re: Back tire seized! What could it be?
I also went with a gates xl 7240 belt. I am currently at 480 miles on that belt and it still drives. However, I have noticed an increase in slipping lately. At first I was zooming arount at 32 mph but now it struggles to hit 26 so that should give you an idea of the rate of degrading. Honestly, it'...

Re: Night Safety - Lighting
I put a tractor fog light thing on a chinese moped of mine back in the day. The headlight burned out and it was $20 to order a new one from china so I screwed a $5 tractor light in the right mirror slot, tucked the wires inside the plastic dash cover and attached them to my headlight wires. It was m...

Re: Possible Bystarter?
My 86 spree loses power after it warms up. I know my bystarter doesn't work at all because it has no wires coming out of it. :thumbwink: I ordered a replacement that should arrive within a week or 2 so I will report back with the results. My spree actually idles warm and cold for some reason, whethe...
