Re: Temporary Paint help (peelable)
:imo: Yeah, that's the stuff. You can buy rolls of it on eBay, like the sticker bomb stuff. Front panel damage at the lip, about 2.75 of the lip chipped, at the handle bar is splitting around the mirror chipped bumper clip , broken tab at the rear fender in the front and broken the tab that joins th...

Re: Temporary Paint help (peelable)
If you want it wet, bury it in clear coat. Like several coats. OK just know I want my paint so crisp it makes a hippy girl wet lol All seriousness aside I may just do that island shadowed effect I should just do one color and do practice pieces and drop effects on my for profit builds. The better p...

Re: Temporary Paint help (peelable)
Yeeeeeeaaaahh...... Maybe don't boil em, get em too hot n you might have a mess after the can pops open :D just place em in a tub full of hot water that should be good enough but too hot and the can will burst open I think. Apartment hot water is set at 180 degrees. BTW I'll post the colors in this...

Re: Temporary Paint help (peelable)
YES. Or glow-in-the-dark. I don't like glowing effects but radiant paint is enough though plan to boil the paint cans by turning up the water heater. 1 spray 1 sand 1 time can I get a yaymen! I like there reds mix that with that tanish orange color achieve two tone painting by studying. That would ...

Re: Rehone to perfection?
I buy new hones they are so cheap ;-) you can use cotter pins to replace the stones I think. The replacement stones are really inexpensive. I have a YouTube channel :-) search patthesoundguy on YouTube :-) I have been pretty busy latley and haven't been making as many videos as I should be. I'm try...

Re: Rehone to perfection?
i would use a ridged hone and be careful not to catch the ports, a ball hone seams to get caught in the ports and rounds the ports out and it's really hard on the ball hone, I'm not sure about the perfect grit to use but ridged hone will give you a better quality cross hatch. just my opinion I woul...

Re: Rehone to perfection?
I've done tones of cylinders with 3 stone brake cylinder hone with great results, but it would be easier and safer with the ball hone. I replace my stones often so I keep a consistent grit. How do you change those stonea 0.0 !! BTW nice photo BTW pat that shows heart for the scoot Picture feels rig...

Re: Rehone to perfection?
Bunch on non believers... Same results can be achieved with plain old sand paper. Won't work on niksal played cylinders that stuff is too hard. Try it on a junk cylinder you'll see. Sand paper is some ... . :bs: Why would you do that too deep cross hatch can f off your rings unless its stuck to 40m...

Re: Rehone to perfection?
Hand hone with 220 wet/dry at 45 degrees in cris cross. Less chance getting hung up in ports. Easy "Hand?" I notice dry honing 220 hatches good on a 3 stone hone. If it's even better this time around on the last hone life I am going to be building a custom stereo in the center of the scoo...

Re: Temporary Paint help (peelable)
Its helps to run more exspensive paint under hot water if you gonna just grab walmarts cans then just spray and wetsand with a very very high grit. Or find a color you like on a car and buy that from cans at autozone. I plan on just doing it this spring/ summer so time i have it has to stand out fo...

Re: Temporary Paint help (peelable)
Ya, but you gotta mix it yourslef, and make sure your aircompressor has an oil trap,etc... It's probably better to use a paint gun, but it's too much accessories needed for me haha. I was going to invest in an electric one, but since it just have to be smooth a rattle can will work fine if I paint ...
