It's usually a chore to find a wire that will fit into the orifice of the pilot jet. There is a cheap ...

Re: 1987 Spree - no vacuum, same easy fix as on my 1986

This post saved me a lot of headache.

I spent days troubleshooting this bike and sure enough, the seal was popped out just like the picture above. Than you for posting this.

Re: For sale: Spree Floor Mats, Petcock Covers, Battery Cove

Kids - After some login issues, a marriage, and two household moves, I'm back online. I have mostly black petcock covers, two or three floor mats, and two black glove boxes left in my stash. Let me know! Brad I would love to get my hands one of those black glove boxes. Let me know!. I sent you a PM...

Re: no key

Agreed. The locksmith will make a proper key for about $5. I've also used the eBay services with great success (then found out the business was local).

I second that. My standard kit from eBay is crap. The piston is almost too big for the cylinder it came with, and there are no markings or color variances on the rings to know which is which.

Re: For sale: Spree Floor Mats, Petcock Covers, Battery Cove

I do. However, the reason why everyone is missing their cover is because of the design of that clip. I'll dig one out and send it if you pm me your address. If I can't find one, I'll send you a clip I've been including with my covers.

LOL! I've been on this forum for almost 9 years with a few breaks here and there and "swap in a DIO" has always been the correct solution. Good to see the tradition continue!

Re: 1985 Aero 80 NH80 - Headlight and Tire question

You can only run without a tube if the tire AND rim are designed for it. Got it. The bike has only 350 miles and the tires look pretty good. I'll verify the leak is coming from the valve stem. It might be easier to break the bead and replace the stem like "Mitch" shows in this video: http...
