Re: 1984 Aero 125/ NH 125 Oil?

Honda GN2 is as cheap and easy to find as any (if you're near a Honda dealer) - I believe it can be used for injection or pre-mix. The main thing is that if you use the pump, you need to use 2 stroke "Injector" oil and not something designed for pre-mix only. If you're going to clean out y...

Info on Kymco

Hi all, saw a Kymco People scooter on CL that seems like a good bargain. Selling for $400.00 - doesn't say the year or model in the ad. Hoping someone here can school me somewhat on these. Wondering about the engine - supposedly a clone of the AF18E/AF16E. Also wondering about that pipe - I am not f...

Re: does a reed valve have a gasket?

Just a thought - anytime you remove the intake/reeds, if you can preserve the old gasket as a pattern to draw out a new one on gasket paper... even if it's stuck to the reed cage or intake, putting a little ink on it and pressing it onto the paper will make locating the cut-outs easier. I have built...

Re: winter will it ever be over????

Greetings Donmesswit Texas enjoyed a sunny week with temps in the mid-70s, but the party's over today. Cold front came through with freezing drizzle as far south as Yoakum. The beauty part of life here is we have about 10 or 15 winters a year, each lasting 2-3 days. Then it'll be summer again. Yeah...

Re: Few extra MPH on my 96' Aero 50

Try checking the service manual for the spec. on the belt width. If it's out of spec., it is costing you top end speed. Also pull the variator while you're in there and inspect the rollers for flat spots. Flat spotted rollers will cost you top speed also. Here is the link to free service manuals. h...

Re: Replacement oil hose - -Question

I get mine on Amazon - they carry all 3 common sizes in clear - 1/8, 3/16, 1/4. It's nice to order in bulk and have when needed. Otherwise I am tempted to re-use hoses rather than wait until I get new ones.

Re: Tire tube help

Just make sure on the rear tube, you put the stem facing away from the exhaust, my aero 80 the stem faces the pipe and its a pain to get at, i have to lay on the groung to check it and put air in it ;-) Sent from my LG-C800G using Tapatalk 2 Thanks for owning up to this one Pat - makes me feel bett...

Re: frustrating !986 spree problem

I agree with Mike - a new belt should improve slippage unless you got oil/grease on the belt or one of the pulleys (drive or driven). Have you taken the variator (under the drive pulley) off and checked it out - grease should be removed and rollers checked for flat spots? What made you change the be...

Yet another oil pump question - NH125 Aero

So I experienced my first soft seize yesterday (I think)- cruising along at about 48 on my Aero 125 and engine suddenly de-cellerated as if braking - almost like running out of gas. Never stopped running til I turned it off. Cooled it down and then it got me home going slowly (only about a half mile...

83 Aero NH80 headlight repair?

Hi all, I have an 83 NH80 with the low beam out on the headlight. High beam still works but doesn't seem to provide enough light at night. The headlights seem to be discontinued. Before beginning a search for a new headlight, I am curious if the old Honda Express headlight fix will work for the Aero...
