Re: tuning 28oko and pg long
So I am currently running a 160 mj with the needle clip moved up one position from middle. When I go out and ride everything is perfect for about 30min. Once i roll on and am cruising 50ish it cruises fine. If I roll off and then back on it bogs and gargles and slowy drops in rpm. If i come to a com...

Re: tuning 28oko and pg long
Okay check leak down and im good. Changed to a fresh spark plug and lowered the clip (towards the pointed end) 2 notches. Its about 65 out and I pulled 315 at wot for a mile and a half. Temps didnt go above 250 until 1/2 throttle to full throttle. Poor tuning after all. Im pulling mid 60s now with t...

Re: tuning 28oko and pg long
How much pressure should I be sending into the motor for the leakdown test? I have a regulator valve on my tool and I can push up to 200 psi. I know thats way more than needed. Should I be matching my compression or running a little less into the motor? Thanks guys. Ill try and get some pics uploaded.

Re: tuning 28oko and pg long
Ill be checking again tomorrow in the morning. If it was an aluminum kit I would expect to see higher temps and the ability to withstand the heat. So back on the lift to see whats happening.

Re: tuning 28oko and pg long
Its a 50mm kit from taz. I did a compression check and I'm at 140psi. Did a leak down and nothing seemed wrong. Reeds seem to have a tiny leak. It has been addressed same temps. I switched to a 162 main. It has way more pull and extra top end. But same temps. Got it up to 390 after a mile flat out.

Re: tuning 28oko and pg long
I did some riding tonight about an hr and a half cruise temps reached 390-400 with the choke in some spots due to the cold air. Im in Chicago suburbs so weather changes daily. Ive been switching main jets between 162-168 and the a 58 pilot some days. Runs like a beast cruising 60mph plus on longer s...

tuning 28oko and pg long
Hey, so im out riding my 81cc kit from taz with a 28oko and a pg long. I'm running a 55 pilot and a 165 main. I can't keep the scoot from running between 275and350 degrees. Is this normal? I've checked the plug and it looks correct. I also checked for an air leak and couldn't find one. So I'm wonder...

Are all af16e kick covers the same or is it different based off the model? Is there a way to tell the difference between them?

Re: 90cc curiosity
Well I figure I lose some heat since the sensor sits on the sparkplug. Its the taz kit 50mm. I know its not to bad on temp but what is a dangerous temp to reach? anything over 325 or so?
