Re: So I went and ruined my engine case.

It sure sounds like a mess to me. The part that sounds bad is the holes are full of screw parts. I don't know what kind of screws you are talking about but you will find that some self taping screws are harden. Now you have harden screws into aluminum. I don't have any idea how you would drill out s...

Re: Haggard battery setup

Make a top for home made battery box and make sure you have no draw on the battery when every thing is turned off . Then you will be ok to leave it in the rain or over night.

Re: Haggard battery setup

looks like a good idea to me. Just make a box for your battery and you should be good to go. The only thing I would worry about is could it harm your charging system.

Re: exhast stroke intake stroke

Seeing you are trying to start it with a socket could it be that it is not turning over fast enough to start?

Re: Do you WOT ?

I don't know what rpm the engine is runing at WOT but I think the Honda Spree is over doing the rpms. That is the way I run mine all the time. Does anyone know that a stock spree engine rpm is runing at WOT?

Re: look what i picked up for $20 !! just needs new piston r

You might want to check what you need to do to register it in Connecticut before you spend much money on it. If you can't register it all it will be good for is a parts bike. In NY you would need paper work but as I understand some states you don't. This was the problim about the parts bike I have w...

Re: look what i picked up for $20 !! just needs new piston r

Spark, compression, fuel, and timeing and it will run. I have seen some good suggestions so far. Also the spree needs a complete hooked up air cleaner to run.

Re: look what i picked up for $20 !! just needs new piston r

I picked one up like that and have keeping it just for parts but the only problim is that they are just so well built I just never need parts. The only thing I have used so far off it is the tires. Have you got paper work so you can register it? Looks like some plastic and lights are missing which m...

Re: 85' spree needs new rear brakes and new rear tire tube.

You need to berak the tire bead away from the rim edge. I do mine with a mechanics vise. I am sure everone has there own way of doing this.

Re: HondaSpree.net National Rally

I could see this happening, but it would have to include all size and type scooters and also motorcycles to make it happen on a national level. Lets face it Honda spree is a outdated scooter of the middle 80's. I am seeing that the cheap chinese scooter (junk) are takeing over in the scooter market....
