i got the gearing fix by putting a thinner washer, got the triplet springs on. bike is ready to ride, but i still didn't ride it yet. I am still breaking the new bore in. did 5 heat cycle idling 5 min at a time. also did a compression test. I hook up a Snapon compression gauge to the spark plug hole...

You used the metal and nylon washers together didn't you? Replace #9 with #11 so you have metal washer on both sides or sand down the nylon washer to same thickness as the metal washer. 2 gaskets might make everything else "loose". http://i481.photobucket.com/albums/rr178/1960slickcraft/t...

thanks for the tip Wheelman Got most of stuffs on yesterday nite, the motor starts up right away, it runs and sound MEAN. clean bike. btw do you have pics of the 89s you built? sounds like it will be good around town and sleeper because of the v8 pipe and gears. just installed my Vapor stealth on weekend, I trimmed a little plastic to feed the wires on the left side mirror hole, I mounted exactly like how tw39515 mount his and make a L bracket for the speed sensor on the front wheel. Thanks for you tip tw39515. Now i notice my scooter runs about 325 to 360F...

just got my Vapor Stealth. it come with everything that bakaracer described. Indeed i have to lengthen the CHT, PWR, and RPM wires. One more question i have is where did you mount the magnet and sender for the speed sensor? do you have to JB weld the magnet?
