Re: bbk and pipe need some carb help!!

no that just seemed WAY too big. I've always heard of going 2-3 sizes maybe 4 when you do a 70 kit and pipe but I'm at just about 7-8 sizes (hard to tell because of how mikuni sizes their jets) from the stock #77 I have a 1.4mm jet in it now which is just about a 107.5 120 keihin I tried a 110 mikun...

Re: bbk and pipe need some carb help!!

yeah it does. I had one size smaller jet in it before and it starts popping at high rpm and the plug shows lean.. thats one of the reasons I'm looking at another carb, I've tried one size up from where it is now and one size down, either way it basically won't run. If I run one size down it "ch...

Re: bbk and pipe need some carb help!!

it runs about the same at any throttle but it cuts out at high rpm when I let off to about 7/8-3/4 itll pick up a little then bog a little then when I get back to wot it picks up and bogs out. but if I just gun it from a stand still it carries smooth until it hits 38 40 ish then starts to basically ...

Re: bbk and pipe need some carb help!!

Its not the mrp but its not listed on ebay either... the dimesions of the pipe are pretty good measures exactly the same as the high end pipes at the local scooter shop, just looks to be made of a little cheaper material. it may not have a whole lot of power but it def has wayy more than stock. I'll...

Re: Stock Oil Pump Delivery Ratio

I don't purposely over rev I do it to keep from getting hit while driving around town lol. I'm currently trying to find some gears to fit my minarelli clone, but until then it'll def see higher than stock revs, especially since thats where my pipe makes its power.

Re: bbk and pipe need some carb help!!

Not sure its probably just some offshoot brand. Its stamped 73cc on the bore so its not actually a BBK but rather a stock 73cc cyl for a different engine (probably a zuma or something of that sort). I know it was the more expensive kit but I didn't actually order it I bought it "used" (ins...

Re: Stock Oil Pump Delivery Ratio

I only ran at wot when I needed to and still same story but now I premix just for the piece of mind to know that my pump can't fail again and lose another cyl/piston. Still everyone says not just from theory but personal experience that the stock oil pump doesn't agree with bore kits, not just on th...

Re: bbk and pipe need some carb help!!

It just seems too need more? The listing on Ebay says 23hp but thats obviously a WAY optimistic listing lol compression is 155psi I'm running 32:1 castor synthetic my plug is brand new and perfect coffee color I just cant figure anything else out besides the engine running out of cfm from the carb. ...

Non- scoot projects? pic heavy

I'm looking for pics of anything that you guys have built that is NOT a scoot, it can be past project, present/unfinished just looking to see what everyone is up to? here are a couple of my past projects (: geo tracker http://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash3/76142_117162005013917_6698241_n.jpg ht...

Re: bbk and pipe need some carb help!!

Found out I had the wrong plug in it the whole time -__- my fault, but oh well. I installed the new plug it was a night and day difference. Got it tuned perfect even with the long stretch it wants to lift the wheel when it hits 3 mph (clutch springs??). BUUUTTTTT I believe my carb might be too small...

Re: Stock Oil Pump Delivery Ratio

The case is in the for sale section, no porting or anything done to it. I replaced the stock piston in it one time at 10,400 miles then at 11,700 I put in the kymco engine. I never messed with it besides the pipe and filter unless it physically broke. I have no reason to lie about it I'm not trying ...

Re: Stock Oil Pump Delivery Ratio

I've held 50+ several times with a custom pipe and open air filter with my 89 elite lx when it was still stock suspension etc. I weigh 115 lbs and it was a slight very long downhill speed limit of 50 mph and I always kept up with traffic and was passed very slowly if at all. No gps verification but ...

Re: Stock Oil Pump Delivery Ratio

I premix anyway I've had an oil pump fail with no warning on a stock cyl and sieze my engine, although I've always over revved my engines which probably plays a role in it. What rpm is s stock sa50 af05e turning at 50mph?

Re: MLM is now making Honda Spree performance pipes!

It seems like the exhaust exit bing in the middle of the exhaust would allow for more of the chamber to be used?? I.E. exhaust must first bounce off of the rear of the chamber before making it back to the center of the chamber to be able to exit, seems like it would give the effect of a longer chamb...

Re: race fuel

I've never used it in a 2T, but using it in turbo applications you don't necessarily make more power. Technically with the equivalent amount of e85 you make less power with the same tune . The advantage of it is the ability to run higher compression/boost or advance your timing further which in retu...
