Re: Dio motor prospect :-)
with 9:1 and a 3.50x10 tire on my dio with a mini stroked ruima with mild exhaust port work and a v8 i hit 60mph. course mine isn't a swap so you might do better. And with those trans parts a wheelie will be a flick of the wrist at nearly any speed.

Re: 1985 honda spree starter coming out of place?
Sounds like you are talking about the bendix. Not sure what it is called in the manual. I'm sure someone here will chime on to tell you how to repair it if it is possible. Otherwise it is very simple to replace. Just have to take the nut off that holds the driven face on then remove the driven face.

Re: Dio motor prospect :-)
I have 2 stock sa50p carbs and intake manifolds I have been trying to get rid of. And a right side motor cover... but it has been modified to fit a BBK.

Re: 1992 SA50P Sudden no start
oh... if you are going 45, someone de-restricted your sa50p. You may want to research some more but I believe that most people who run de-restricted sa50p's either get the sa50 higher flow oil pump or add a small amount of 2t oil in the tank when they fill up. Also I would recommend a plug chop when...

Re: 1992 SA50P Sudden no start
If it isn't blasting air past your finger over the plug hole it definitely doesn't have enough compression. I wouldn't bother with a compression tester. You can take the exhaust off and look in the exhaust port and look at the piston and rings. But I would just tear into it. Take the shock bolt off ...

Re: SA50P belt and clutch
I would say that a stock sa50p can easily 10000 miles plus on the original clutch shoes. the belt however will not last half as long under 5000. Can't answer your other q's.

Re: v8 pipe loudness?
compaired to stock pipe I would say the v8 is about a third louder. Maybe less. It's actually about as loud as my stock pipe was after I took all the guts out of it.

So I take it that, yes, you are planning to split the case and match the boost ports since you're getting the fly wheel puller?

Re: HS1 high performance light bulb
well i have another concern. assuming it didn't melt the lens and replaced the wiring or ran a relay, would the scooter's regulation system be able to handle the extra pull or would I then have to wire the light to the battery?
