Re: Insane conversion motor swap

I imagine the gearing was Fed up from changing from 18 rear wheel to a 12" ha. Not bad price for the amount of work that was done.

Re: Wideband o2 sensor to tune scooter

What set up are you using a 50 and 55 pilot on? If its the corsa with the 24mm theres an air leak somewhere for certain. On both my 24mm oko and corsa Af16 and Af18 I run Ct chromes 45 pilot and 132-135 mains 1 5/8 turns out, needle in 2nd from top spot, with a motorio expansion and a PG long. Never...

Re: spree big bore kit 68cc, goes slow????

If you want to go faster top speed, gears or a new exhaust pipe. If you want more power and top end ( higher RPM) Big bore kit and pipe. All 3 should be done if you really want it to last.

Re: Wideband o2 sensor to tune scooter

What is that guy rambling about? You can efi anything. Bore kit wont change anything on the engine but the displacement which may effect VE (volumetric efficiency) if compression is raised.
The wideband will tune just the engine and carb, not the trans. Strange guy.

Re: Trailtech TTO CHT (Cylinder head temp) Gauge acting goof

I think hes talking about the tiny cht gauge, the tto cht is pretty small and not bad on price. I have noticed their send units dont last long(bend or go out of round) if youre doing a lot of plug chops.

Re: what causes this to happen?

Excessive heat on an air cooled engine looks like. Also known as a blown head gasket lol. Id say too much compression mixed with not enough octane. Is that 2 different head gaskets also?

Re: Trailtech TTO CHT (Cylinder head temp) Gauge acting goof

You have a connection thats grounding out or losing signal it sounds like. If it hits as high as it can read its being grounded out. Could be a faulty sender wiring or the unit itself. You could shake the wiring harness while sitting still and see if it causes it to go blank or read crazy.

Re: Wideband o2 sensor to tune scooter

A K type EGT probe is only 20 bucks, the cheapest digital gauge is 6.99, weld in bung 25 total cost 52 bucks and usable on any engine. I spent more on mine because I use data logging for my international turbo diesel ford. Problem with digital gauges are you have to actually look at the numbers to k...

Re: Wideband o2 sensor to tune scooter

That tool is perfect for that, Ive seen people using gemstones magnifying glass thing for it at the Off road park St Joseph state park. It would be nice to have if you had to do it that way.

Re: Wideband o2 sensor to tune scooter

Easiest way to accurately tune any single cylinder carb or efi throughout the entire rpm band is with an EGT and a CHT combined with a tach, regardless of how many strokes. Sometimes by the time you do a plug chop its too late, EGT is instant read of what the engine is doing at all rpms not just WOT...

I like the sidecar idea best, old motorcycle races used them also. Those were some funny looking races.

Re: Why is everyone against the gy6 swap?

Stock form a 150cc gy6 will do almost 60, cdi, variator, exhaust, and upjetting will easily get you 65. Easily. My old Gy6 tao tao with those cheap mods would do faster than the cars doing the speed limit on the highway. Speed limit is 70.

Re: 150cc gy6 elite bolt in kit build

Use the good ole gravity bleed. Open up the reservoir cap and then open your bleeder. If it doesnt bleed still there is a kink or an obstruction. Blow some compressed air thru the master line if you think its blocked. It probably wont unblock it but it will let you know its clogged. How much are you...
