Replacing tire
I am having no luck replacing a tire on the front rim of a spree. Is it necessary to have this done at a shop, or is there a way for me to do this myself.

Getting the tire off can be fairly easy or a challenge, depending upon how it is approached. Basically, the same as changing a bicycle tire, with the same cautions and tricks.
1) Get all the air you can out of the tube. I push on the pin in the valve stem and step on the tire at the same time. You want the tube collapsed, to make it easy for the next 2 steps.
2) On both sides of the tire, go around, and push the bead of the tire off the edge of the rim. Do both sides.
3) Now that the bead is unstuck from both sides, use tire irons, bicycle tire levers (often plastic these days) or carefully use a pair of screwdrivers.
Place the lever under the bead of the tire, and use it like a lever to pry the bead over the rim.
*The trick*
Simultaneously use your free hand to pinch the tire around the rest of the wheel, and get the remainder of the tire bead to drop into the ridge at the center of the rim. That makes it much easier to get the bead over the rim.
** Careful with the levers, especially if using screwdrivers, you can put nicks in the rim. Another possible danger is to poke a hole in the tube with the screwdriver. Tire irons and bicycle tire levers have rounded tips, making this less likely.
