Post by bigluelok »

How long does it take for a key to be made and shipped?

I know I sent a package to Illinois from Los Angeles and it got there in a about 2 days. Well I sent it on a Saturday and it was recieved on a Monday.

I ordered a key on Monday it is now Thursday. And no key it cant take that long can it?

im just impatient i will give it till Saturday i hope to recieve it soon.

Depends on whether they had the key or key blank in stock. If they order it and once they get it the there is at least a day before they send it on to you. This is why when I needed a spare key for my scooter, I went to the local dealer with my key. They looked and did not have that key, but they had a blank and made me one. A * of a lot less stressful than being cheap and ordering it on the INTERNET and then playing the wait game and not having anyone to call about it because I think it is taking too long. Cheaper is nice but not necessarily better.

It usually takes me 3-4 days to receive anything from Cali, Texas, etc... and I'm near Chicago.

Once they ship it that is true but a lot of internet places stock little or nothing in the way of inventory. When you order from them, they just tun around and order it from their supplier. When they recieve it they then send it to you. The smart one have it drop shipped to you so it is quicker. But just because you ordered something, does not mean it was shipped that day or even the next.

Sure, that goes without saying for any company. However, I was referring to the OP, specifically "...it got there in a about 2 days."

Depends on when it was dropped in the mail. And how many watering holes there are between origin and destination.

coming from vegas it shouldnt take longer than two days with first class usps. Im guessing thats the way he would ship it. The amount of time it takes for him to cut a key is a whole other story
