Priced way low for my market area, the beat up Gyro will sell for $600 around here and $1000 or more in great shape.

but not as slow as a spree. It is a two speed auto tranny. Take off is slow but it kicks when shifting to second and then revs out nicely. The motor is closer to the early sa50 afo5 engine.

Nope, that is an '84 (the only year the Gyro was sold in the USA). The Gyro S has the exposed frame like the express and looks more like a chopper wannabe, sold in '85 and '86. No form of the Gyro was sold in the US market for '87 :(

Although I prefer the other variant of the Gyro, I'd say $500 is wortwith it. If it has been sitting forever (bad tires, brakes, dirty carb, rusty tank, etc...) and has 5k+ miles, I'd talk him down.
In the barn::
2001 Honda Elite
2002 Yamaha Vino
2007 Roketa Sicily
2006 Ninja 250

Special thanks to:
Workdog & Iggysepia for parts & quick shipping.
Evilone for buying my SA50P.
