I was paging through my Elite 50 manual and it said max. weight 180 and I weigh 195. Is this a safety issue or will it just be more of a performance
factor.

mostly performance factor. my friend who's like 230lbs had no trouble riding it. your top might be slower by a mile or two, but u ought to be ok imo.

Yes weight is a factor which i build into my projects but its no big deal!....

me too im 290 and she pulls like *. i think i bent the frame but it was renforced

my correct weight is about 230lbs. I seen alot heavier.We do use better tires though and shocks.

dunlop tt91(I think)
any way on the S alot of guys use 90/90

i got 80/90 tires on the elite and i use jettey tires. very nice tire. but i had a dunlop on my elite and i really didnt like it. so y pay more
