Cutting my springs tomorrow.

EDIT: I successfully chopped 3 coils off of each spring today. It is back together but I am still waiting for the local Honda Dealer to get my exhaust gasket in so it will be Thursday before I can get it out and see how she rides. I will post pics when I am fully finished.

Good luck, 3 coils is a bit much and newer style shocks are a different length. I forget how many are gone here, this is after I showed my friends how to disassemble their shocks, we all got "drop crazy". Don't mind the sloppy cables, was testing out a stretch.

I come from the Volkswagen world so I have the whole, it's never to low mentality. That being said it is setting about the same as yours in the picture. I haven't rode it yet due to the fact that I am still waiting on my exhaust gasket to be delivered. Hopefully it will be in tomorrow.

3 coils didn't seem like much, are you talking active coils or dead coils?

My springs have 2.5~3 dead coils cut off, but that is the old style.

I'm sure there are many different springs across the models, but I'm talking about older bare springs (87 elite) vs. newer plastic covered types (94+ elite)

3" Right there, enough to sit on the rear mudflap.

I think this stretch is somewhere in the 12-14" range? I measured it once while we were pulling it apart but forgot the exacts

Mine is dropped by extending the engine a few inches in the back and using stock shock. It is part of my conversion.

The trouble with low is that with the first unexpected bump and you bottom out landing you where you don't want to go.

Why would anyone wanna switch to premix if they have a working pump sounds pretty stupid.

A spree is not a moped it is a scooter.

taking oil injection off a scooter just for a "cleaner look" in a place that is covered by a panel is just plain stupid

if you are trying to get your post count up, toad, post positive comments.
you are becoming annoying to the rest of us who are just trying to make our rides unique. nothing you have said has been helpful or positive, so i dont see why you are here. you are unwanted.
